I don’t really like nicknames but like these two names a lot. SHould I throw them out if I don’t like nicknames?
[name]Charlotte[/name]

I don’t think they will be automatically nicnamed. And you can always ask for people to call them by the full name. It is bad manners to call someone “[name]Charlie[/name]” when they’ve been introduced as [name]Charlotte[/name], for example.
Also, I was in school with three Charlottes who went exclusively by [name]Charlotte[/name]. Nobody ever nicknamed them [name]Charlie[/name] or [name]Lottie[/name].
There was an [name]Amelia[/name],her very close friends called her “meals” but more as an affectionate joke. Everyone else called her [name]Amelia[/name].
So essentially,I think if you love the names you should definitely keep them
I had a friend named [name]Charlotte[/name] when I was younger and she went by [name]Charlotte[/name]. She had a nickname that some other friends used, but it wasn’t really based on her name. [name]Charlotte[/name] seems less prone to nicknames than [name]Amelia[/name] does. I think that if you introduce your daughter as [name]Charlotte[/name], people will call her [name]Charlotte[/name].
I really like these names together. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] would be really cute for a little girl.
i think that nicknames for girls are easier to avoid, as long as you correct others if they begin using a nickname.
I don’t think they’ll be automatically nicknamed. I went to school with 2 Amelias and neither one went by a nickname.
Agree with the other posters! I know a few girls by both of these names and they don’t have nns.
I dont think either would get shortened, I can see her friends maybe calling her “[name]Char[/name]” or “[name]Lia[/name]” occasionally, just as a quick, sweet name (like I always call my friends [name]Hannah[/name] Han, or [name]Katie[/name] [name]Kate[/name], not necessarily a nick name, more like a pet name)
Yeah, this shouldn’t be a problem.
