Im in a pickle, haha. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughters name is [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] and I am due with another I have a girl name all picked out but boy names a stumping me. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I really like [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], it is one of the only names we agree on. However [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] together sounds to much like a sentence to me. We really want a natural sounding name preferably a tree or ocean name but nothing else is popping.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] go together or is it just to much?
I vote for [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. Different but not weird different. Iāve met 2 Griffins, one is my son and the other is a friendās son. I love it! [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]!
If I were in your position, i would choose [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] for a boy. I love-love-love the beach (canāt you tell from my username?), and this reflects both the tree and ocean aspects youāre looking for. Iām personally not a fan of siblings both having one-syllable names, so [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] would fit the bill there.
You know, Iāve never considered this name before, but the more I think about it the more I like it for myself!
[name_f]Breeze[/name_f] is so cute! I like [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] as islandgirl suggested as well. Someone else suggested [name_u]Dune[/name_u], which I really like too. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
Sorry, that is too much. A forest breeze.
I know a man named [name_m]Forester[/name_m]. That wouldnāt sound too nature-y.
You might like:
[name_u]Cedar[/name_u]
[name_m]Birk[/name_m]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]/[name_u]Rohan[/name_u]/[name_u]Roan[/name_u]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_m]Sylvan[/name_m]/[name_m]Sylvain[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Sherwood[/name_m]
[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
[name_m]Fielding[/name_m]
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
I see what youāre saying [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] but ā¦ I think it is be cause they are different types of ānatureā words. A [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] being a specific thing/ place while a [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] is something that happens in nature that then could for example take place in said locationā¦ So focus on another nature āactionā like
Wind- too similar?
Drift
[name_u]Rain[/name_u]
[name_u]Storm[/name_u]
Wave
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]
Hail
ā¦ As examples
If you want to have their names share that commonality and be WORDS ~ not just names with [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] or animal meanings or obscure references to natureā¦
You could also get away with animal names
[name_m]Hawk[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] ( things have fins in the ocean)
[name_m]Fisher[/name_m] ( not a fisherman its an animal they are pretty cool)
ā¦ But if youāre looking for nature namesā¦,
Things found in nature ā¦ With the exception of things like sky and cloud ā¦
[name_m]Flint[/name_m]
[name_m]Stone[/name_m]
[name_u]Slate[/name_u]
[name_u]Sequoia[/name_u]
[name_u]Oak[/name_u]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_m]Birch[/name_m]
[name_u]Leaf[/name_u]- not sure if leaf & [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] are good or just a nice visual and Incompatable
ā¦,
Places however like
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_u]Ocean[/name_u]
[name_u]Dune[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Valley[/name_f]
[name_m]Field[/name_m]
Stream
[name_m]Beach[/name_m]
Island
ā¦ Some fit better than others you see, ocean breeze [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] breeze :-/ [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] some nature location nanes do work!
If you like [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] honestly its not ocean or island and its not likely to be an issue. I didnāt notice it until I thought about how it could be a sentence but wanted to point out what would be safer and a few options to avoid a sentence like that but also day island breeze isnāt good but [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] breeze really its something thatās an overly normal thing to say, its not like people are like oh I was out in the [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] enjoying the breezeā¦ You see the forest being dense with trees you usually enjoy the shade ( another name option) when in the [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and the trees so honestly I see it when pointed out but I donāt go there with it and I like them together
I donāt have anymore names to add but I wanted to give another vote to [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] and Sawyer. I think they go great with [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] and have the same feel without the worry you had with [name_m]Forrest[/name_m].
Thank you all for the amazing suggestions! [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] is a nice name [name_u]Baby[/name_u] naming can be a tough process. With [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] I had the name picked out since I was young and it was no problem. This time Iām lost.
Other names I have picked are:
Koa
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] (Although now that I think about what Islandgirl said, siblings with one syllable names does sound a little funny to me)
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ( I canāt stand the thought of [name_m]Ted[/name_m] or [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] being a nickname though )
I do think [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and [name_f]Breeze[/name_f] is too muchā¦ I really like [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] out of the short list you provided, but it does not seem at all in the same vein as [name_f]Breeze[/name_f]. If that doesnāt bother you then I think it would be a nice subset. [name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity, what name do you have picked out for a girl?
