So we [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Harley[/name] for our baby boy that is due in 4 weeks. Lately I have been reading on blogs and baby name sites that [name]Harley[/name] has become popular as a girl name as well spelling it [name]Harlee[/name] or [name]Harleigh[/name]. Now I am having second thoughts of using it for our little boy for fear he may get teased if he has a “girl name”. what do you think? [name]Do[/name] you know any boys with the name [name]Harley[/name]? or Any girls with the name [name]Harlee[/name]/[name]Harleigh[/name]? Any advice on this name???
[name]Harley[/name] is our favorite right now but here are the others on our list:
[name]Harley[/name] is cute for a boy! I personally can’t even imagine it on a girl because of the motorcycles, but I’ve heard it is growing in popularity. I haven’t met one personally but I know of a family that has a little [name]Harlie[/name] [name]Katerina[/name] (I think that’s her MN, anyway). Maybe something like [name]Hurley[/name] or [name]Huxley[/name] would be seen as more masculine, but still the same vibe?
I love [name]Sawyer[/name] from the rest of your list, though!
Actually, for me, [name]Harley[/name] is a girls name. I’ve known several [name]Harley[/name]'s and they were all girls and I have a little cousin named [name]Harley[/name] whose a girl. She so sweet with curly blond hair and big blue eyes.
I think it could work fine on a boy though. I think [name]Harry[/name] could work as a nickname too, which might make it sound more boyish.
You say [name]Harley[/name], I think [name]Harley[/name] [name]Davidson[/name]. I think [name]Harley[/name] is very unattractive on a girl and alright on a boy.
I dont know any Harleys but it sounds like a boys name to me. If you really like it, I would encourage you to use it. I get so frustrated with masculine names, or even traditional names, being taken for girls.
