[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Will[/name] can stand on it’s own??
I like the name [name]Will[/name], but I don’t care for [name]William[/name]?
[name]DO[/name] you think it’s fine to name your boy [name]Will[/name] and not [name]WIlliam[/name]?

I think it’s just a matter of personal opinion, without any clear right or wrong answer. I personally like options in names, so I personally wouldn’t name a son [name]Will[/name] on its own (or [name]Bob[/name] without [name]Robert[/name], [name]Jamie[/name] without [name]James[/name], [name]Charlie[/name] without [name]Charles[/name], [name]Ben[/name] without [name]Benjamin[/name], etc.).
If you love [name]Will[/name] and want to use it on its own, I don’t think there’s any harm in it.
Have you thought about [name]Wilson[/name] as another source of [name]Will[/name]?
Good luck!
Yes I think [name]Will[/name] can stand on its own. I think [name]William[/name] gives more options later on, but if that is not a concern, I like the name [name]Will[/name].
I always thought of [name]Will[/name] as a hidden virtue name for boys ^^ It makes me think of being strong willed which is a good quality in people, so for me, [name]Will[/name] is just fine on his own!
There are other names than [name]William[/name] that can be shortened to [name]Will[/name] though… My favourite being [name]Willem[/name], but if he’s too close to [name]William[/name], there’s also [name]Wilhelm[/name], [name]Wilson[/name], [name]Willoughby[/name], [name]Wilfred[/name], [name]Willard[/name], [name]Wilkinson[/name] and [name]Wilton[/name]… [name]Willard[/name] and [name]Willoughby[/name] would easily make my list, but just [name]Will[/name] is good as well… It depends on you, really ^^
no its not a stand alone name.
