[name_f]My[/name_f] cousin had her baby back in [name_f]October[/name_f] via emergency c-section. Everyone was told she was going to name her daughter [name_f]Dagnie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (to the point where my aunt had gotten it embroidered on everything she gave them) and we were all surprised when her husband announced that her name was [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. At first I loved it because it’s not a name you hear a lot and it’s not so overboard that people start to wonder about their sanity. Now after a few months I find myself saying it over and over and the more I say it the more I am unsure if I really liked it to begin with. Sorry to my cousin. What do you girls think?
[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is one of those names I find tacky.
Well, I definitely prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f] to [name_f]Dagnie[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is a nicer combo. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a lovely name, but [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is too overused for me, I went to school with way too many for me to ever like the name again (same problem with [name_f]Summer[/name_f]).
I think it’s lovely. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a name that has really grown on me and I love what it brings to mind. I prefer it to [name_f]Dagnie[/name_f]. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] isn’t a name I would personally go with as a middle or first, but I think it sounds just fine as a combo.
She claims the issue with [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is that it too closely resembled the royals [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
‘will an autumn’ what? Lol. It sounds like a sentence to me.
I really like [name_f]Willa[/name_f], as it is a family name for me. I don’t particularly love the flow of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] since [name_f]Willa[/name_f] ends in a and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] starts with it. But it is alright I guess. I prefer it to [name_f]Dagnie[/name_f].
Maybe now, but [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] would’ve worked fine too. ![]()
