Willa, honest opinions

Hello all! I was just wondering what you all (truly, honestly) think about the name [name]Willa[/name]. I won’t be using it because it is in the family already, but just kind of want to know public opinion, I guess.

Thanks all.
[name]Lindsey[/name]

I like it a lot. It’s not my style for my own list, but I still really like it. I also love [name]Willow[/name], perhaps a bit more.

Absolutely love. It’s a fantastic name.

It has definitely grown on me as of late, though I sort of feel like there’s something missing from it, as if it’s a nickname for something. But it’s also a name that sounds great in combination, e.g. [name]Willa[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Willa[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Willa[/name] [name]June[/name], etc.

I really like it a lot. It, along with [name]Willow[/name], would be on my list if my last name didn’t start with W.

Not my style but I don’t hate it. One of those names that I don’t mind it on others’ kids, but won’t name mine with. I prefer less frilly/feminine names though. I like [name]Willow[/name] better than [name]Willa[/name].

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I’m not a huge fan. It sounds mushy and wispy to me, and like someone else said, I feel like it should be a nickname for something more substantial. It’s a perfectly fine name, though, just not a favorite of mine.

I’m in the “not my style” camp. It’s a nice enough name with some literary street cred (which I always love), but it feels a bit incomplete to me. It’s not overly popular, though, so I like that. But when she says it, people might hear “[name]Willow[/name],” which is (I think) a more popular name. If I met a little girl named [name]Willa[/name], I would probably like it, but I wouldn’t use it myself.
