Which do you prefer: [name_f]Willa[/name_f] or [name_f]Willow[/name_f]?
I like the softness of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but I also love the strength of [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and the connotations that go with it.

I prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f], I think it has the strength and connotations of [name_f]Willow[/name_f] but sounds more pleasing!
Another vote for [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Cather and it avoids the link to âwillowyâ which could be difficult to wear.
I really like both [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (SöÄĂŒt) in Turkish was the first capital of Ottomans and the history geek in me loves the name for it. I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] because it reminds me Wylla Manderly - a badass minor character that could be next lady [name_m]Stark[/name_m] in the books.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is my preference itâs very pretty but strong at the same time. I find [name_f]Willa[/name_f] a bit unfinished for some reason, but it is still fine as a name.
I love both too! So tough! I think I like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as a first name better and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] as a middle name.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a gorgeous classic. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] feels more trendy and will probably eventually die. I also agree with pp that [name_f]Willow[/name_f] can be problematic because of the willowy thin connotations. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] also ages better imo
I prefer [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - I love the o sound and the imagery! [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is nice but I also find myself tripping over the sounds for some reason
I prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f], I think the sound is nicer + itâs way less popular so it wonât feel dated in 10-20 years
Definitely [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
Definitely [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
In the UK, a little girl called [name_f]Willa[/name_f] would probably be teased with âwillyâ jokes (slang term for penis). A little [name_f]Willow[/name_f] might even be teased in the same way, but itâd be more common with [name_f]Willa[/name_f] I feel.
My daughter is [name_f]Willa[/name_f] so I am clearly into it. I do like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] though - itâs serene, dreamy and assured. It was never a contender for us, but wouldnât have made it through because our last name ends in O. [name_f]Willa[/name_f], to me, is for someone pluckish and wise, a writer, an activist, a good friend. If its slight abruptness is a problem, then perhaps [name_f]Willamina[/name_f]/[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f]!
Quite a difficult one, but I think my vote goes to [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. Iâm not sure why really!
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] feels stronger to me for some reason. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] feels fragile. I think itâs because of the character in a book I read, so ignore if you feel differently. All that to say, id go with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
My vote is for [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! Iâve always felt [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is a bit of a sappy name. Thereâs something more sassy about [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] by a mile for me. I love the nature vibe and that strong -O sound! [name_f]Willa[/name_f] feels wispy and insubstantial by comparison.
My vote is for [name_f]Willa[/name_f]- feels sassy and spunky to me.
I prefer [name_f]Willow[/name_f]
