I vote for [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. I really like this name, and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is adorable. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is lovely but i dislike [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as a nickname, and thats why its not on my list.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] looks great next to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
Thank you!!!
I really like both [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as a sister to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] but I gave [name_f]Willa[/name_f] the advantage after reading about your issues with nicknames. I think that if even your husband says he’ll have a hard time not shortening [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] then you probably shouldn’t use it if you’re not okay with the nicknames. I also think [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is gorgeous and sounds like a perfect sister to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]!
I like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] better, it’s great with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]

O…?
I chose [name_f]Willa[/name_f] for 2 reasons: 1. Your husband prefers it and since you don’t seem to have a preference, might as well go with the one that one parent is more certain about. 2. You seem to have hesitations with the nickname. I know I never want to be that person that is constantly introducing my child “this is [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], she goes by her full name so please don’t call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or anything.” Though it’s perfectly normal to prefer her full name or certain nicknames over others, if the thought of shortened forms of the name make you cringe, it’s best to avoid the name.
Good luck!
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is absolutely striking. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] make perfect siblings, in my mind: Both are sweet, southern vintage revival names that are currently rising, but not overused. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a darling combo, both strong and sweet. In terms of nicknames for [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], would you prefer something like [name_u]Lou[/name_u] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]?
Thanks! That’s exactly what I’m afraid of too… if I could find a nickname I liked I think we could make it work but it’s starting to feel like a stretch.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is a good option but I’m not sure… good food for though though. Thanks!
Both are gorgeous. You can’t go wrong. I slightly prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f] with [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], since it doesn’t sound like you want a nickname for [name_u]Eloise[/name_u].
I really like both but I think [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is more pleasant to the ear. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_u]Lou[/name_u] as nicknames? I don’t like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] much at all, but I think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] feel so elegant but still young and sweet.
[name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_f]Elle[/name_f]/[name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] – either set is so [name_m]French[/name_m] girl chic, charming, and understated.
Thanks! I actually do love [name_f]Elle[/name_f], but I really don’t care for [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and as llbaby22 points out, I don’t want to be in a position of always correcting “its [name_f]Elle[/name_f] not [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]” or silently cringing when people call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] instead…
I love [name_u]Lou[/name_u] but we already call my daughter [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] so it’s a bit spoken for unfortunately.
I’ve always found [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] to be a bit of a tongue-twister. Voted [name_f]Willa[/name_f] for that reason.
I voted [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] however, I really like both names and combinations. I don’t think you can go wrong
Thank you!!! I love both too! That’s what makes this so hard
To me, [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] sounds like the perfect fit.
Both are lovely names, but I prefer [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] a little more. I know a horse named [name_f]Willa[/name_f] R.J ([name_u]Rio[/name_u] de Janeiro) and everytime I hear/read this name, I can only think of the horse - a gorgeous female horse, btw.
Both names are beautiful! I agree with other posters who have said that if you don’t like any nicknames for [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], it might not be the right name to go with. At three full syllables, friends and family will naturally want to short it to show familiarity, and if she doesn’t have an established nickname, I think [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_u]Lou[/name_u] are likely to come out. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is beautiful - one of the rare short names that gives an air of elegance, femininity, and history. I also think it goes very well with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and wouldn’t worry about two -a endings. Good luck with your choice!
Both are nice but I slightly prefer [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and with [name_f]Anne[/name_f] as the middle. I think if you like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nickname you’re set. I’m just thinking of all the [name_f]Liz[/name_f]’s I know and they were never [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f]. And the one [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] I know was never [name_f]Liz[/name_f]. So i wouldn’t worry about [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].
