[name_f]Willow[/name_f] by far!! It’s spunky and not “too girly”.

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a masculine name, and it is extremely popular in [name_u]America[/name_u] or in Europe for boys. She would get teased, and people would definitely think she is a boy when they would see her name. She could also be called Mister and get letters for Mr Luca XXX all her life. I think it’s a terrible idea to name a girl [name_u]Luca[/name_u], sorry.

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] is all masculine to me.

I voted [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] definitely can be used on a girl but I prefer it on a boy.

I think if [name_f]Willow[/name_f]'s been the favorite for five years, you should go with it even if it seems to be rising in popularity. I have the same issue with our long-time favorite name, but we’re going to use it anyways!

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] gets my vote!

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] is all boy for me and for many others, but I voted [name_f]Willow[/name_f] because I don’t think you should have to give up what you’ve loved for 5 years just because others are using it. You may regret not calling her it and using something that you only recently started liking. After all, people move and have their own lives…your [name_f]Willow[/name_f] would be your [name_f]Willow[/name_f] congrats!

I voted for [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a boy’s name, but [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is truly unisex.

I voted [name_f]Willow[/name_f]! I can see the appeal of [name_u]Luca[/name_u] as a girl name since it has the -a ending, but it’s all boy to me.

I voted for [name_f]Willow[/name_f] entirely because of the sound—I absolutely adore names ending in O sounds, especially on girls! [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is nice enough, but lacks the nature connection, and I’d worry that she’d be lost in a sea of [name_m]Lukes[/name_m] and Lucases.

Thank you all for your comments. It’s amazing how much doubt you have in the final weeks. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful community on here to talk to. I really appreciate all your comments over the past few months helping me decide.

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is my favourite of the two but I love love love [name_m]Bowie[/name_m]!

[name_f]Willow[/name_f].

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a boy’s name to me.

I love [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] too but it’s my best friends favourite name so not going there! [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] would be perfect! I need an equally cool middle now.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Willa[/name_f]?
([name_u]Luca[/name_u] is for boys imo)

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a very good friend of mine’s name otherwise we totally would have gone with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]!

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] for me too. I also prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] for a boy.

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]?
I know [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is a lot more common than [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] though. You could always use Zowie in honor of [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Bowie[/name_m]'s son (though his son changed it to something more conventional as an adult…so maybe not!).
([name_f]Chloe[/name_f] would be another rhyming option, but to me it is ever further stylistically from [name_m]Bowie[/name_m])

Another idea based on the sounds in [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] is [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]

or [name_f]Willow[/name_f] Aube (pronounced Ohb (like orb without the r), it means “dawn” in [name_m]French[/name_m] (and is used as a girls’ name, though fairly uncommon).

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] 100% wins this for me. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a lovely name, but it is extremely masculine in my head and I really think using it for a girl would cause many administrative problems over the years. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is a lovely nature name, and while it is definitely popular, I wouldn’t say that it was prohibitively so. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is much more flattering than [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and I think it will age better as well! For me, [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is a clear winner.

I guess I’m in the minority, I think [name_u]Luca[/name_u] would be super cute on a girl! It’s so close to [name_f]Luna[/name_f]/[name_f]Lula[/name_f] and gives off a similar vibe, a little beach, summer, boho vibe and it’s full of energy.

Both lovely names, but I voted [name_f]Willow[/name_f] because, again, I prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] on a boy. Not that it can’t work on a girl - it absolutely can in my view, especially looking at the other androgynous names on your girls’ list - but [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is such a great name, regardless of popularity. I love -o ending girls’ names too, and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] has a lovely, delicate sound but it also has definite backbone!

All the very best of luck with the impending arrival!
