[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone - looking for inspiration to name [name_f]Willow[/name_f]’s sister. We tend to gravitate toward whimiscal/earthy/gentle names. Below is our shortlist. Could you share some thoughts/imagery on what you think of these names? What do they make you think of or feel? Any thoughts/rankings/suggestions would be appreciated :slight_smile:

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] - a lovely name, very classic and will age well.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - popular and rising, but again, classic
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] - I loooooooove this. So pretty and I love Irish names.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - This is the only one I wouldn’t wholeheartedly endorse. I prefer it as a nickname for a longer, more solid name.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - VERY popular, especially right now, but classic and hard to mess up.
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - Beautiful, and gets you close to the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] sound without being so popular.
[name_f]Nova[/name_f] - A name that’s sentimental to my mom, my brother, and me. I love it, but I’m not sure it quite fits with [name_f]Willow[/name_f].

My favorites to go with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] would be [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f].

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] - Very pretty. It’s just increasing more and more, so watch out for that if it’s a dealbreaker for you

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] - It’s actually really nice with [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. It’s just me who have a bad association with it.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f]- Nice, but overused

[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - I personally don’t like it. But there’s nothing wrong with the name

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - Agree with previous poster

[name_f]Nova[/name_f] - No

[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - Nice

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - Nice

My favorites with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] are [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]

But the first three definitely my favorites. Although I don’t really like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], I do think it goes very well with [name_f]Willow[/name_f].

I love them all !! My three favorites to go with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] are [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

My favorites are [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. They are both kind of earthy to me, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] more hippie and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] more vintage.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] – feels very trendy to me. I had never heard it until I joined nameberry.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] – ruined for me by [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and the Chocolate Factory unfortunately, but I know others aren’t bothered by that. It seems more prim and proper than [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] – nice but very popular and don’t have the nature vibe.
[name_f]Nova[/name_f] – very modern to me. Not my personal style but it is pretty and the space connection is cool.

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] & [name_f]Isla[/name_f] are my favorites among your list, though I love [name_f]Nova[/name_f] a lot I don’t think it goes well with [name_f]Willow[/name_f]

My favorites with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] are [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (in that order)!

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] - I feel like this matches really well stylistically with [name_f]Willow[/name_f].

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - I’m going to be honest and say this reminds me of the word violent, so I don’t find it pretty.

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] - Reminds me of the movie Shrek and the show Shameless.

[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - This is on my list because I think it’s so pretty and sweet.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - A nice name but overly popular right now!

[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - Not a fan.

[name_f]Nova[/name_f] - I think this is such a cool name, but I know 2 dogs that have it.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - Such a cute name but I don’t feel like it fits an adult.
