I have always wanted to use the name [name_m]William[/name_m] (after my dad) if we had a boy, but as of late I feel like I have met a million baby [name_m]Williams[/name_m]!
That being said, my dad goes by [name_m]Bill[/name_m]–which not even he likes! The nickname [name_m]Will[/name_m] doesn’t really flow with our last name, and I’m not crazy about [name_m]Liam[/name_m].
But another nickname was brought to my attention today-- [name_m]Wills[/name_m].
What do you think of it? Is it too much of a nod to the prince? Too out there? Or just right?
Big sisters are [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].
I do think of the prince because I’m really into the royals but to me that’s a good association. And it’s not much of a stretch at all, not when compared to many of the nicknames out there. The nice thing about [name_m]William[/name_m], though, is that when he’s older he can choose a nickname he likes from one of many- [name_m]Will[/name_m]/[name_m]Wills[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], etc.- or none at all! [name_m]William[/name_m] is popular but classic; it will always be lovely!
