Wim?

Hey guys I’ve been crushing on [name_m]Wim[/name_m] recently and was wondering if you think it’s workable in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country? Would you assume it’s short for Willem/William? [name_m]Just[/name_m] any general thoughts appreciated!

it makes me think of the word whim, which i guess isn’t a bad association

i think it’s usable, & i wouldn’t assume it’s short for Willem or William - i’d probably assume it’s a nickname, though.

Out of interest, what would you assume it was a nickname for? Thanks for your feedback x

I like it! It reminds me of whim, which means there may be a lot of spelling issues, but it’s cute and also substantial. Reminds me of [name_u]Pim[/name_u], which I also like!

i’m honestly not entirely sure! i can’t think of anything else it’d be a nickname for, but it sounds like it’d be short for something, you know?

Sounds like “whim”.

One of my favourite shorter names, though it does remind me a little bit of wimp(y). However, I think that it would be especially usable in the UK, as a nickname or full name as it has a similar feeling to [name_u]Pip[/name_u] and [name_u]Kit[/name_u].

Both whim and wimpy aren’t great associations…. Otherwise its fine! [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] like [name_m]Jim[/name_m].
