What are your thoughts on the name [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] for a little girl?
I asked S/O about it a couple of weeks ago and he was relatively fond of it, but I’m a little unsure about how accessible it is. We’re not expecting or TTC, I’m just trying to cull an ever-growing list!
I am not a huge fan of [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] for a girl, personally speaking. I think it suits a boy much more. I can’t begin to say how accessible it may be, but if you like it, that’s all that really matters, in my opinion.
[name_u]Windsor[/name_u] is kind of nice in terms of sounds but for me the [name_u]Royal[/name_u] association is a bit pretentious and gets in the way of me liking it a lot. Might only be a UK/personal issue though. It is kind of funky. I admit I prefer [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] or [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] though

I prefer it on a boy but I don’t think it is bad on a girl. The biggest thing would be the [name_u]Royal[/name_u] association and there certainly appears to be a bit of a mess in that area right now, so I don’t know if the association is mostly positive or negative. Oh, I do have to say, I adore the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], so that’s a plus in my book
It sounds too trendy for my taste but I think [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] might be a good compromise between GP and more a more usable name. I love the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] tho!
Thanks everyone, looks like [name_u]Windsor[/name_u]’s a no-go then. I’m not really keen on [name_f]Winslet[/name_f], I’m afraid, it’s never quite appealed to me.
