Winifred, Tabitha, & Agnes? 🐈‍⬛

After a couple weeks of looking, I think I’ve finally picked the perfect sister to [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], but just to be sure, I figured I’d ask the berries some questions about the set!

When I imagine these lovely little girls, I see nature lovers, forest wanderers, muddy rainboots, witchy Halloween costumes, skirts and sweaters, dark hair in pigtails and tiny buns, staying up late at night telling each other stories, making everyone around them giggle, and cheeky smiles.

Now, I have some questions for you guys!

Does one of these names stick out? [name_f]Do[/name_f] they all match well?

How do you personally envision these girls?

What would you name another sister or brother to them?

Are there any negative associations you have with these names (that aren’t personal, such as a mean classmate, etc)?

I love them together! They go incredibly well.

I must admit I am not good at giving descriptions, but they do come across as ‘witchy’ to me. I could see them reading stories, baking pies and cakes almost every other day, visiting haunted houses and cemeteries for the fun of it, being fiercely protective over one another and writing journals about their daily adventures. One of them also probably has a pet spider.

When I first see Tabitha, I automatically think of Matilda. I always group them together. If I go for something else, maybe Beatrix or Sabrina for girls and Benedict or Edgar for boys.

Not really. They aren’t negative per se, but these are the associations I have.

Winifred: Winifred Sanderson in Hocus Pocus
Tabitha: Sarah Jessica Parker’s daughter
Agnes: Agnes Grey by Anne Brönte

Agnes Maude or Agnes Lilibet sounds good to me. I would like to suggest Agnes Eulalia, Agnes Ginevra and Agnes Dahlia.

i don’t have time to answer all the w’s but i just want to say that seeing these 3 sister names literally improved my mood, they’re so cute and autumnal together! i say you’ve found a good match!

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] sticks out a little to me because it’s two rather than three syllables and doesn’t contain the soft ‘f’ or ‘th’, but in terms of vibe and imagery they’re very cohesive!
Obviously they’ve got quite a clunky old school vibe so I think of three little Victorian girls with braided hair and frilly nightgowns playing with a rocking horse in a nursery! Imagining them in the present day, I picture three quiet dark haired girls in pinafores who enjoy reading.
I mean I like to pair [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] ‘Kitty’ with everything so that would be my first suggestion! But on further reflection, I’d go for [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Bess[/name_f] & [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m] has a daughter named [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and a son named [name_m]Felix[/name_m], which I’ve always thought was a great sibset.
Not that I can think of!
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is stunning! I’d go for [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Catherina[/name_f] or [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Ophelia; from your list [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] is a cute combo.
They’re not personal favourites, but they make an adorable cohesive sibset; I’d be especially excited to meet a little [name_f]Winifred[/name_f].

I think they pair well together. Before I even read your description I definitely thought it sounded like witch names (Winifred from Hocus Pocus and Tabitha the daughter from Bewitched).

Another suggestion could be Sabrina, but then that may be too many obvious witch references.

So, I think Agnes fits (I like Agatha better but that’s too close to Tabitha) and actually I think it’s nice for one name to not be three syllables.

Of your options I like Agnes Imogen, because to my ears it sounds the most magical.

I think a brother to the 3 could be Edward or Alfred.

I love it, they’re wonderful together in my opinion. I feel like the black cat emoji you chose is actually perfect for this trio: [name_f]Cozy[/name_f], familiar (but not overly so) but with an air of mystery and adventure.
For a sister name, I have to second [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] — it’s similar in length, has a unique first and last letter, and feels slightly “witchy” and sharp as well especially due to the final X.

I think they match well - sort of witchy but clunky-vintage.
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] only stands out a tad, because it’s slightly more popular (where I am)

Studious, musical and slightly bookish but at the same time, outdoorsy, willing to pick up worms and snails, rescue spiders, and make muddy potions. A set of sisters who are independent but also a tight-knit bunch.

First of all, love! All of these names are so lovely individually and complement each other well.

To answer your questions:

I don’t think so? If I had to pick, I might go with Agnes - primarily because of the cadence (3 syllables, soft sounds vs 2 syllables, more noticeable clunk). Then again, I’ve put Winifred and Agnes together as the name equivalents of knit sweaters and hot chocolate so I really wouldn’t say it sticks out. But I don’t typically enjoy super theme-y sibsets and the names not being carbon copy of each other is a plus imho.

Emoji aesthetic:
Written aesthetic: Trick-or-treating in the rain with jackets over costumes and boots on their feet, strategizing their library book haul, raking leaves with the sole purpose of jumping into the pile, pillow forts for movie night, caramel apples. Taking a bit more of a creative leap: I also see Winifred & Tabitha as being close knit, close-in-age, with Agnes being a couple years younger and wanting to be just like them.

I’m biased on a lot of these names but
Potential sisters: Maude, Lenore, Romilly, Edith, Beatrice/Beatrix, Harriet, Imogen, Constance, Nancy, Marjorie, Honora
