Thought we had our girl name picked out, but then [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] was suggested and we both really like it. Would use the nickname version only as none of the full “[name_u]Win[/name_u]” names are appealing to us. Any thoughts on the name?
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a winner.
Sounds awesome, but I would love if [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] was a nn…
Have you thought about [name_f]Arwen[/name_f]?
There’s nothing wrong with it but I don’t care for the flow.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] it! Quite sweet
Too nickname-y for me and reminds me of [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] Pooh.
I just watched the news and one reporter was called “[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]” but I thought it didn’t really fit her as it sounded too cute for an adult.
I think it is too childish.
I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is absolutely adorable! Personally as other posters have said I would prefer it as a nickname. (Though I think it could stand alone with fellow classmates [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] & [name_f]Maisie[/name_f].)
I don’t know what other ‘win’ names you’ve considered but I’m going to suggest some, feel free to ignore them if you don’t like them
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f]
[name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhonwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is adorable. It feels vintage which i like. I had a Great Aunt named [name_f]Dot[/name_f]. We normally called her [name_f]Dottie[/name_f]. Maybe that would appeal as a sibling?
Can I add that I’d totally double barrel it and call her the full “[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?”
So, to recap: Full name [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], called [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it!
I like the simplicity of [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! Very sweet. I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] as ways to get to [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], but if you don’t, I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is just fine. I’m usually against using nicknames as full names, but there’s something about [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]–just like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f], they seem to stand on their own pretty well to me. I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is darling.
Good luck!
I think it is absolutely adorable! Why choose a different name and then call her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]?
I agree, I think it’s absolutely Darling! [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is a classic fun name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] name her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] if that’s what you love don’t search for an alternative name if she will still be called [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. I think it’s cute. She may go by her middle name though when she is older? or maybe first initial and full middle? [name_m]Just[/name_m] some food for thought!
Because [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] isn’t a name I could ever seen on a 30-year-old woman. It’s cute for a 5-year-old. Not so much for an adult. I’d go with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or choose a longer name for [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] and use [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a nickname.
I have to agree with the majority here, I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is really cute but I think it deserves a real full name. Some nickname names are not favored by children (and especially as adults when they enter into the workforce), and they prefer an option.
I personally like…
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (where i live it is pronounced Row-in)
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] being my favorite. And [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sounds to die for!
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is ADORABLE as a fn. I would hesitate to use [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] in the middle though because the two names seem to merge together.
I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is adorable but I do agree it’s hard to picture it on an adult. What about [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]?
I agree with others that have said this is not an appropriate name for an adult woman. Sure, it sounds “adorable” on a baby and child, but will be very silly on an adult. Also, [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] the Pooh. [name_m]Just[/name_m] no.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are both beautiful. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful name!
I love it!
