I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]! So cute! I feel like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is a cute nn but needs a solid full name.
I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is gorgeous! [name_m]Just[/name_m] beautiful.
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] needs a longer name.
Coincidentally, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] was one of my first favourite combos when I joined Nameberry!
My opposition towards using [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a first name is because I believe that nicknames shouldn’t be full names, even if the child will answer to the nickname for 99% of their life. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t get me wrong, I love nicknames! I think that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a great alternative because it’s a great classic name and has just enough charm, sweetness, sophistication and professionalism to just tick all boxes!
Have you considered some non-traditional full names for [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]? You said you liked [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. Could you use [name_u]Winter[/name_u] as a full name, and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a nn?
[name_f]Winona[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gweneth[/name_f]/[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Edwina[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
Elowyn/[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
I particularly like [name_f]Gweneth[/name_f]/[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] combo. Something about [name_f]Edwina[/name_f] is classy and pretty too.
I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]! [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is a lovely middle name and a very appropriate choice if your daughter is born in the winter. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is cute but it makes me think of of a cute little bear who loves honey and doesn’t wear pants and that association is strong.
Personally I much prefer [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. In Australia, [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is really gaining in popularity. I love it on its own. Most [name_u]Winter[/name_u]'s I know are only called [name_u]Winter[/name_u] but I know [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]'s called [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is a great combo!
I prefer [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. I don’t see how it’s any less serious than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]! [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]'s good, too, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is adorable and in my top 10.
Both are adorable, and you can’t go wrong either way.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is beautiful and gives you the best of everything!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is at the top of my own list currently! I like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] equally, and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is sweet. I have met an adult with [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a full name and she wore it just fine.
I think you should hold onto both until she’s born and can practice saying it to her! You’ll know which feels right.
I agree that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would work in getting you everything that you want.
I would love to meet a girl whose first name was [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], though (I prefer [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] actually). I wouldn’t take her any less seriously than I would take a [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] was actually one of my favorite names when I was a child and I still adore it!
Between [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], I’d choose the latter. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] seems more fresh in the middle name spot than [name_f]Grace[/name_f] does

I’ve been thinking on this all day, because [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is so cute… I originally said [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (and I stand by that bc that’s a fantastic name) BUT what about Winry?
It’s a character name of a girl from full-metal alchemist (she’s pretty, blond hair, blue eyes, smart mechanic/engineering girl to paint the picture here) and it has the same sound as [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] but comes off as a ‘name name’ than a ‘nick name name’ if that makes sense?
Anyways, thought I’d throw that suggestion into the mix!
