[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,
I’m curious what your thoughts are on [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] for a baby girl?
Thanks!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,
I’m curious what your thoughts are on [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] for a baby girl?
Thanks!
I’m not a great fan of the meaning “burial mound”.
[name_u]Winslow[/name_u] looks really pretty on paper but it doesn’t have a very graceful pronunciation, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Terrible for either gender. Sounds like a butler.
Doesn’t work for a girl imo.
The only surname I like as a girl’s first name is [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
Maybe [name_f]Winslet[/name_f]?
I think [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] looks pretty on paper, but doesn’t sound pretty. It could work though, [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a nickname would be cute. I don’t care for “-slow” in [name_u]Winslow[/name_u].
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] on a girl - I only like it on a boy - but it does have the cute nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I think it’s adorable! [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I don’t notice the “-slow” in it and I actually think it sounds much more feminine than masculine.
I think it works fine. It’s not my personal style, but names like [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] and [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] are used all the time and I don’t see this as being any different. And [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is adorable!
This is the first thing that came to mind for me too. [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] sounds too much like [name_m]Woodrow[/name_m] or [name_m]Winston[/name_m] to work on a girl. Much prefer [name_f]Winslet[/name_f]. The ‘let’ ending makes it feel like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
