Which setting?
  • A Modern(?) world where you can go to a college sort of thing if you want to further your magic education
  • A fantasy world lead by royal kingdoms. Other magical/myth creatures, like shapeshifters, fae, elves, etc. will also exist

How will a witch meet their familiar?
  • Random meeting, the witch and familiar will feel some sort of energy pull when they see/touch/are close to each other
  • A witch can choose their own familiars and vice versa
  • Random meeting, the witch and familiar first see each other they have a “They’re the one” moment
  • The witch and familiar has a few symbol on their body that hints on to where they will meet

How to differentiate between familiar and normal animals?
  • There’s runes/markings on the familiar’s body
  • No difference, they look the same
  • Familiars have some sort of auras around them
