Without saying your first name , is your first name common/uncommon?

Definitely uncommon in most places outside of [name_m]Wales[/name_m]!

It’s sort of uncommon, but not unheard of. There are also two others at my school.

Definitely uncommon.
According to The Bump, it is currently ranked 14,239th! :joy: I never ever find my name on anything. However, my mum did say she met someone with the same name as me once about ten years ago.

Pretty common in my age group – not overused, but I hear it fairly often.

Uncommon in my age group, very common (top 50) for younger ones.

uncommon but not rare!

Not extremely popular for my age group, but it’s been the number one name for many years and is kind of the main “generic” girl name used

Extraordinarily common. lol.

Really common

Peaked at #3 the year I was born

Uncommon for me! I’ve literally only ever met one.

Very common in my age group.

Oh so common, especially when you take into account similar names. Predominantly for over-18s in my own country and under-18s in the US.

Well known, and easy to grasp, but not especially popular (e.g. things never had my name on them in shops). There was a reasonably famous person who swooped onto the scene with my name when I was little (five), and the name instantly became more generally understood. It’s one of those nickname names that’s more common than the original now, but I’m not sure if that was the case when I was born, and I still get asked what it’s short for.

think of the most popular name in the 2000s for girls and that’s my name. Super common for my age and probably 10 years older and 10 years younger than me too :joy:

My name was common in the US in the 70’s. [name_m]Born[/name_m] in the UK in the 80’s, I did not meet a namesake at all at school. Then when I did a degree as a mature student there were 3 of us in a class I took! It was the first time I had to use my last name initial! [name_f]My[/name_f] name is hyphenated with a very common name, which makes it both more unique and common, depending on how you look at it!!!

More common in the US than in the U.K. It’s the same name as a lot of famous Hollywood actresses in the latter half of the 20th century so everyone knows of it and is familiar with it.

I don’t come across a lot of people my own age who have the same name. I think in my high school of 1500 girls there was only 2-3 of us. I think by the time I was born (early 90s) the name was losing popularity (it peaked in the 70s, again crazy popular in US). I’ve worked with a few other people with the same name but they’ve always been born in a different decade to me. I’m the youngest I know and I’m almost 30!

Mine is one of those that stays consistently around the 300 mark no matter the era.

Common, I was one of 4 in my class at school but spelt completely uniquely… I’ve never met anyone else who spells it my way

Common! I know loads of people with the same name as me and it’s been within the top 100 for a while now.
