This is just my opinion - please feel free to share yours!! Nothing I say is meant to offend, I’m just having some fun with a piece of writing, so please don’t take anything too seriously!! (If you love a name, that is ALL that matters).
I’d love to see what everyone else thinks
So here is my (subjective) ranking of all the day names!!
7th Place: [name_m]Saturday[/name_m]
The best day of the week, yet the worst name. [name_m]Saturday[/name_m] is just the odd one out - it has one more syllable than every other -day name, and (in my accent at least) sounds like “sadder-day”: not the most appealing connotation. While still an intriguing choice, this day name should stick to what it does best - being a day.
6th Place: [name_m]Thursday[/name_m]
[name_m]Thursday[/name_m] - it’s a decent day of the week, but is a bit of an awkward name. While it may appeal to some parents who want some of that Scandanavian-esque striking strength of [name_m]Thor[/name_m], in general, the sounds of [name_m]Thursday[/name_m] are just not incredibly appealing.
5th Place: [name_f]Monday[/name_f]
The objectively worst day of the week makes a half decent name. [name_f]Monday[/name_f] is soft and gentle, but when it comes down to it, who would want to be named after the thing everyone dreads?
4th Place: [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]
A bit of a controversial take, this Addams family day name definitely sits around the middle ranks. [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] has that cool W- beginning, but the gothic vibes (and tough spelling) may be just a little bit too much for some parents. Like many media-popularized names, [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] is very cool, just a little too connected with one specific character.
The Top Three
3rd Place: [name_m]Friday[/name_m]
[name_m]Friday[/name_m] is definitely the sleeper pick of the -day names. He’s got that cool, wild west, cowboy vibe, but could also make a fresh, almost preppy choice for a girl. With his unique-yet-familiar feel, [name_m]Friday[/name_m] can appeal to parents of all different naming styles. [name_m]Just[/name_m] be careful though, because in some accents, this lovely name may sound more like “fried egg”.
2nd Place: [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]
In a bit of a surprise, the most inconspicuous day of the week snags the number two leaderboard spot. [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] really fits the bill as a true day NAME - she has a lot of fun, peppy energy, popular sounds, and an unusual flair. [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] is not too popular yet, but she’d make a fantastic name pick.
And the winner is…
1st Place: [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]
In no surprise, first place goes to the second best day of the week - [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] has made its debut on the celebrity baby name charts, and now it’s time to make its debut on yours. She’s so lovely and feminine, offers a wide variety of nicknames, can have religious connotation or not, and is overall just gorgeous. [name_u]An[/name_u] amazing name that would make a great choice for any girl.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you all enjoyed
