Wolfram vs Wolfric

Which wolfie name do you prefer and why?

Also, do you like the spelling Wolfric or Wulfric better?

I prefer Wolfric. Wolfram just makes me think of ramming a wolf, and sounds less like a name. I prefer the Wolfric spelling, it looks more intuitive.

I like Wolfram better. I know it’s basically two animals together, but I really like the sound of it. I’m not as big a fan of the fric/ric ending of Wolfric. I’m not really sure which spelling I prefer, Wulfric looks more authentic, but I feel like it should be said a little differently. I’d probably go Wolfric as I think it’d be easier pronunciation/spelling wise in an English speaking country.

Wolfram is an actual name. Is Wolfric, though? I was only able to find Wulfric.

The [name_m]German[/name_m] Wolfram is pronounced VOLF-rahm (in case this helps with the “two animals” thing). I think either name could be hard to wear for an actual person, although [name_m]Wolf[/name_m]/ie seems widely accepted currently thanks to [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m]. On the other hand, they’re definitely old and somewhat obscure particularly in an English context… so that makes them kind of cool again. Nice finds!

Wolfram has more of a classic / olden days feel
