It depends on rhyminess. For instance, [name]Leah[/name] and [name]Sofia[/name] I think are too rhymy. But [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] aren’t, and they sound okay together.
Yep, I agree. I have a friend with daughters [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name], I think they sound great together. [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Sofia[/name] would sound a bit silly.
Jeska, how would you compare [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] with your examples of [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] or [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name]? i completely agree on [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] as I feel they completely rhyme but am not sure about [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name]?
I think the reason that [name]Julia[/name] (and [name]Claudia[/name]) and [name]Sofia[/name] don’t feel matchy at all is because [name]Julia[/name] has stress on the first syllable and [name]Sofia[/name] has stress on the end of the 2nd.
[name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] have stress on the front of the 2nd so they don’t feel super matchy, but a bit more than the others.
I think any of your options are okay, [name]Julia[/name]'s the least trendy/popular but all are pretty names.
It’s such a common, classic name ending that i don’t think it’s weird, although i do agree with what people have said about using a name with emphasis on a different syllable. It’s not something overly trendy and contrived, like names ending in -lee: THAT would look too deliberate, kwim?
I think [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] sound beautiful together. I think the others do too but [name]Julia[/name] is just my favorite! I actually like using the same endings for siblings. I don’t think its too matchy for my taste.
I agree with the previous comments. I don’t think the ones you listed sound too matchy since they don’t have emphasis on the same syllable as [name]Sofia[/name]. As long as they don’t rhyme, you’re good, and btw, I don’t think [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Sofia[/name] rhyme.
