Wondering

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], berries! I know that [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] is a pretty controversial name, but do you like it soundwise? Would you use it if not for it’s namesake?

It’s nms, but the sound of it is really lovely.

I always felt like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] sounded like “lilies” with a lisp, if I’m honest? It’s not my thing, but I can see the appeal. It just feels lispy to me :woman_shrugging:t3:

It’s objectively my style, but the sound doesn’t really work for me, honestly.

I love the sound of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. There’s something sleek and sharp about it

This is one of my top names. In my experience of bouncing this name off my friends and family, it’s 50/50 whether someone likes the sound of it or not. I do think it’s awkward to say ~[name_f]Lilith[/name_f]’s~ which does make me hesitate with using it. On it’s own, I love the sound, but with an S at the end in sentences, I don’t love the sound. So I guess I’m torn

Also, the namesake isn’t a negative thing for me, at all.

I’ve never really liked the sound of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. But [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] isn’t bad!

Sound-wise, it’s great.

Sound wise I prefer other ‘lily’ choices I think [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] sounds awkward

I think it has a beautiful sound! Delicate yet powerful and mysterious. I like that it’s one of the few “[name_f]Lily[/name_f]” names that doesn’t end in a vowel. The -th ending always sounds very chic and mature to me.

I don’t love the “th” sound at the end. It comes as harsh to me. When it comes to [name_f]Lil[/name_f] names I like the classic [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], but [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] is cute as well.

I quite like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] - the namesake doesn’t bother me at all. I actually have a friend who named her daughter this and I’ve always thought it was very cool.
I wouldn’t personally use it, not because of the namesake or because it’s controversial but just purely because it’s not really mt style, I prefer the sound of other [name_f]Lily[/name_f]- names

I grew up with a [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], her mother was our pastor. She usually went by [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. To my knowledge no one commented about its origin except for me, which we joked about for a while.

I think it sounds lovely! It was one of my favorites until I found out about its meaning. So yes, I would absolutely use it somewhere if it meant something more positive!

I plead ignorance here. The only [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] I know is [name_m]Frasier[/name_m]’s ex-wife and I wouldn’t let her stop me.

Never cared for [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. But it should be noted I don’t care for [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f]

Lilith is nice. It’s a shame it means ghost and night monster!

I love [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] I think it’s a lovely name and the association isn’t that grand nor common enough for people let alone kids to know
