I’m really liking it! It’s sounds statesman like and distinguished yet still naturey. He’ll likely get called [name]Woody[/name] sometimes, which I think is cute, but I imagine not everyone will agree. I think if that doesn’t bother you than it’s a real winner.
[name]Woodrow[/name] is really cool! My boyfriend loves it, so it’s on our list. [name]Woodrow[/name] [name]David[/name] is a very handsome combination. I’ve met a little [name]Woodrow[/name], and his parents called him [name]Woody[/name]. Woods is cute too!
Overall, I think it’s fine. There was a [name]Woodrow[/name] in my high school. He was a serious fellow (no nicknames), and he carried it well.
[name]One[/name] consideration might be that since the name is no longer common, it may be associated with [name]Woodrow[/name] [name]Wilson[/name]. As a president, he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Would you be comfortable with the assumption that you are a fan of the former president?
I agree with @econo, my first thought was [name]Woodrow[/name] [name]Wilson[/name]. It’s been a while since I’ve had an American [name]History[/name] class, so I can’t exactly remember what he was known for, but my inclination is something not-so-good after WWI? I do think it’s a cool name, though, and Woods is a cool nn. I like the classic [name]David[/name] paired with it.
I’ve been thinking about this name, overall I really like it! [name]Woodrow[/name] just sounds like a handsome gentlemen(which are the kind of names I tend to gravitate to). Woods isn’t my favorite but I guess it’s fine. I do like the combo [name]Woodrow[/name] [name]David[/name]!
I think [name]Woodrow[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] is a great namesake-- our first, and only, intellectual president, who formed the League of Nations and was way ahead of his time.
But I just don’t know how “wood,” “woody,” etc would fare in the modern playground. Seems a little too rife for teasing.
