[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I’m writing a story and am considering naming the main character [name_u]Jet[/name_u]. [name_m]Will[/name_m] readers get confused since the name is also a word? Technically, names like [name_m]Will[/name_m] and [name_f]Cat[/name_f] are words, and I haven’t had issues with them, but I’m just wondering if it will be confusing. Any opinions on the name [name_u]Jet[/name_u] for a character? (I don’t plan on having any scenes with planes/jets in the story, if that helps)
I personally love word names on characters, especially for fantasy worlds. I wouldn’t get confused if I was reading your story and there was a character named [name_u]Jet[/name_u]. It’s a name that people can have and if people can read stories with a character named [name_m]Will[/name_m] who has to give up his free will, then people can read a story about [name_u]Jet[/name_u] who has never been on a jet plane.
