[name_m]New[/name_m] member here- y’all are amazing at coming up with ideas and fn/mn combos so I was hoping you could help me in building my list. Hubs and I are TTC so I still have time

[name_f]Do[/name_f] any of them stand out or seem to go together as fn/mn combos? Any names I should consider for my list? Any I should eliminate?
I kind of agree with the previous poster on losing [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and in my opinion, [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as well or at least put them as middle names! I actually love the name [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] especially with a unusual middle name, but that’s just me lol.

I would probably ditch [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], though they could still be nice middle considerations.

Aw I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f], I hadn’t considered that one! [name_f]May[/name_f] end up on the list And I have a soft spot for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] (if only a friend hadn’t used it!)
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - just doens’t appeal to me (popularity is not enough to put me off - eg I do love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] - don’t like with surname, but great in the middle, eg [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u] - doesn’t appeal to me
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are all nice enough and work with surname, just not my favourites.
I’m going to be a lone voice of dissent and say I love [name_f]Greta[/name_f]! But it’s ruled out for number 2 because we already have a [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and they have the same root.

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (this is a British thing I think. My American OH says [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] has a totally different vibe in the US than in the UK. For me it was a very common 80s name like [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f] so it feels dated, but I think it’s always been much rarer in the US)
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - very popular, I have heard it a lot lately
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name but with your surname it’s a lot of Gr- sounds
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] but not with your surname. Maybe as a middle?
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my style but otherwise okay.
Aw I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f]! I did realize though that my heavily [name_m]Boston[/name_m] accented family would destroy the beauty of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (Maaah-go). Sigh.
It’s so interesting about [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]- I’ve never met one, so to me it sounds fresh- but if I compared it to the million Jessicas around, I could see what you mean.
I fell in love with the name [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] a few years ago, I’m annoyed that a lot of other people did too!! I like the balance with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as a middle

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is my current fav- I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is so sweet. I love your [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] combos- might be a nice way to still use [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
