[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m worried about our favorite baby girl name sounding too rhyme-y with our last name.
Is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri too much? Or do the different consonants balance out the “ee” sound at the ends?
Thanks for any help!

I don’t think it sounds rhyme-y. I’m not sure how you say your last name, but I say Silvestri with the stress on the second syllable (like the name [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m]), which avoids it sounding rhyme-y. Plus Silvestri is longer and has multiple consonant sounds in it. So I think it would be totally fine to use the name [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]!
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri is stunning! I love the abundance of forest imagery and I love how the sounds of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are echoed in Silvestri.
I don’t think the rhyming is as obvious as it could have been if the surname had also been two syllables ([name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] for example would be bad).
I think this would make a very memorable and striking name, I can’t tell you enough how much of an advantage that is in our modern world of networking and people having 900 friends and such. My own name is alliterative, and it’s always been an asset, never a burden. Memorable is a good thing!
Also, I’m so envious of your gorgeous surname, Silvestri is to die for!
Seconding dearest! It’s a beautiful name
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri is divine! This name is gorgeous and hard to forget!
I think it sounds fine! I like it.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri sounds beautiful! I also can see the forest imagery that dearest pointed out.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri is gorgeous!
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Silvestri is such a great name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] perfect. I like the repeating sounds, it doesn’t seem too rhyme-y.
I think it sounds great!
I love it!! With the three syllable last name, it removes awareness of the rhyming factor.
