Would a Non-Name-Nerd Notice?

Would someone who is not quite as obsessed with names as berries (and me) think sisters named [name]Scout[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] was awkward?

It would be [name]Boston[/name], [name]Piper[/name], and [name]Scout[/name]. Neither [name]Piper[/name] or [name]Scout[/name] were chosen because of the planes; although, my husband does love planes. We have another name on our girl name list that is a little higher than [name]Scout[/name] ([name]Lennox[/name]), but [name]Scout[/name] would be a front runner with [name]Lennox[/name] if it wasn’t for the association with [name]Piper[/name]. What are you thoughts?

The only other names my husband likes (besides [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Brooklyn[/name], and [name]Kinley[/name] which I can’t stand) are [name]Arden[/name] and [name]Sutton[/name].

[name]Scout[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] have an association?? Uhhh… Guess I’m out of the loop on that one. They sound like they would go great together, although they’re not my style.

LOL! Well, that’s good to hear. They’re both names of airplanes.

I think they sound great together too. I didn’t know about the plane connection, maybe ask some plane people.

I think it’s not name-nerds that would notice, but plane-nerds.

I must be so surrounded by both (name-nerds and plane-nerds) that I got it mixed up! It’s nice to know that most probably would not catch on though! Thank you!

I’m a huge name snob and I have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about, haha. I think people who are in to planes would ‘get it’ (if that’s what the association is? [name]Even[/name] with the explanation, I’m so in the dark), otherwise I don’t think anyone would make the link.

I also have no idea what this is… [name]Scout[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] sound really nice though!

And I think that if all of us are this puzzled, it’s doubtful anyone would notice. Go for it.

Yeah I didn’t have a clue that [name]Scout[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] were both names of planes until you mentioned it. Plus the being named the same as a plane isn’t a horrible thing.

I didn’t get the connection. Honestly the connection only improves the combo imo. It makes for a cute story!

I knew [name]Piper[/name] was a plane but not [name]Scout[/name] so I was surprised! I think [name]Piper[/name] and [name]Scout[/name] are such cute sisters!

I never knew they had an association. I don’t think anyone except plane experts would notice. And I think [name]Boston[/name], [name]Piper[/name] and [name]Scout[/name] go well together.

Those names [name]Piper[/name] and [name]Scout[/name] really match stylistically. [name]Scout[/name] is especially charming. <3

I had no idea about the plane association.

Out of your other suggestions, I find Arden lovely. Sutton really grows on you too - much more than Bailey and Brooklyn - but I have to tell you, I think I’m in the minority on that one: it would definitely provoke the most divisive reactions of all the ones you’ve listed.

My grandpa was a pilot and so is my cousin and I never would’ve known.

I like your sibset a lot, and [name]Scout[/name] is my fave of your choices.

I agree. I didn’t get it until you pointed it out.

no i didn’t know the associate

Yeah, my style is quite a bit different than most berries, but it doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t make me any less of a name-nerd just because I prefer Rory and Lennox on girls.

If it makes anyone feel better… I prefer Oakley and Rowan on boys and a lot of people would consider those girl names.

Scout has really been growing on me lately, and it’s nice to know that no one noticed the association! It’s officially added to the short list.

I didn’t get the connection either. lol However, if y’all run in a plane-nerd circle it might be noticeable. I personally love the 2 together as a sibset
