A berry suggested this name to me and considering [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] is one of my favorite artists of all time (I may or may not have a bunch of books, prints and crafts on her around the house, including my favorite apron…) I think that with husband’s blessing it could be the one. However, before suggesting it, I would like to hear your opinions on it.
I love [name_f]Frida[/name_f]! And [name_f]Alfrida[/name_f]. [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] is an amazing namesake too. It also goes well with [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] is that matters to you.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Not weird at all. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the namesake. It’s cute and I could picture it on any age
I really like [name_f]Frida[/name_f]. It’s not weird at all in my opinion. I think of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] and the model [name_f]Frida[/name_f] Gustavsson.
I agree with this.
I’m so glad to see positive reactions! Thank you so far, berries!
I think [name_f]Frida[/name_f] is very sweet and right in style with the new wave of short, vintage names that are gaining momentum these days. Your other kids names are adorable, by the way.
I really dig it. I would use it.
Go for it! [name_f]Frida[/name_f] is lovely The only [name_f]Frida[/name_f] I’ve heard of is [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f], but that’s a good association!
The best of associations! Thank you for your feedback!
What would you pair with [name_f]Frida[/name_f], as a middle name? I was thinking something classic but quirky all the same… Is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] quirky by the way?
It’s not weird, but I highly dislike it.
[name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] is lovely. It has great flow.
I would label [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] as vintage rather than quirky, but everyone has a different idea of what a quirky name is.
Some other ideas:
[name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]/[name_f]Margaux[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
Any more considerations?
Call me crazy but I would much rather name a child [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] or [name_f]Azure[/name_f] or some other ‘[name_f]Frida[/name_f]’-inspired name than actually using [name_f]Frida[/name_f]. It just does not sound pretty or lyrical to my ears at all, even with the artist/activist connection. Sorry!
