Would it be weird

Okay, here’s my dilemma.

We have [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Simon[/name]. My husband and I both have ‘A’ names ([name]Adam[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]). We are having another little boy and are considering the name [name]Stuart[/name]. So, our family would be: [name]Adam[/name], [name]Allison[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Simon[/name], and [name]Stuart[/name].

Would it be weird to have both boys have ‘S’ names? Would [name]Eleanor[/name] feel left out since Mommy and Daddy both have ‘A’ names and both brothers have ‘S’ names?

Am I over thinking this?

Thanks!

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. My sibset was two E’s and an L, and we never thought anything of it. As far as I know, ‘L’ loves her name and never felt left out. I never even considered my parents’ initials factoring in.

You could always name the next one [name]Evangeline[/name]

I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s one of those overthinking things that you do because it’s your family; no one will really notice unless you point it out. As for your daughter–if she does ask–you can just tell her how special she is because she is your only daughter and so she got her own “letter.”

You’re totally overthinking it!

I have to say, when I saw the preview for this post, I thought you were going to ask if it would be weird to name your third child [name]Alvin[/name]! Sorry, my daughter loves the Chipmunks and is always suggesting their names for our baby-to-be. I love the names [name]Eleanor[/name] & [name]Simon[/name] and I don’t think using another S name would leave [name]Eleanor[/name] feeling left out. Especially since the other two are boys, and I’m not sure kids really consider their parents’ names all that often.
