Would the name Leland be too feminine sounding on a boy?

I’m really staring to love [name_u]Leland[/name_u]. I know it’s a male name, but does it sound too feminine?

I don’t think it sounds too feminine! I’m pretty sure the founder of [name_m]Stanford[/name_m] University was named [name_u]Leland[/name_u] [name_m]Stanford[/name_m], so the name sounds academic and strong to me!

Absolutely not! [name_u]Leland[/name_u] is a great name for a boy. To be honest, the fact that you think it’s “feminine” at all is surprising to me, but one of the the most fascinating things about this forum is that it allows you to realize how different two people’s perception of the same name can be!

I consider it a boys name as well. I think it is an awesome choice. If you think it is too feminine you could try [name_m]Roland[/name_m], but I don’t like it as much as [name_u]Leland[/name_u].
