Would You Associate ___ with ___?

Our favorite girl name is [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Zippy[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] mom’s name is [name_u]Kay[/name_u] and I was thinking about [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u].

Would you immediately think [name_f]Zippy[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], Yippy [name_f]Ki[/name_f] Yay?

What are those? I never heard of them

Yeah, I agree with @ethelmary.

I don’t think you need to worry, I wouldn’t think of that at all. [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is cute

I know the phrase but I wouldn’t ever think of it from [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] ‘Zippy’ [name_u]Kay[/name_u].

No, I wouldn’t immediately think [name_f]Zippy[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], Yippy [name_f]Ki[/name_f] Yay, as I don’t even know what you are refering to.

It’s an old American cowboy phrase, but it has other associations as well, like a [name_m]Bing[/name_m] [name_u]Crosby[/name_u] song and a pretty famous line from Die Hard.

i did think it (my association is from die hard via brooklyn 99), but it’s not a big connection and i don’t think it’s a problem

I didn’t suggest it to my husband because I thought it every time it came to mind, but then when I did, he almost immediately text me back with “Zippy [name_f]Ki[/name_f] Yay, mf!”

I’ve heard the saying a lot (not in real life, but on different shows) and I definitely wouldn’t think of it. [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] “Zippy” is a great name!

I can’t imagine many people say it in real life. I do love the name and my mom is wonderful.

Oh no that wouldn’t come into my mind, I hear the saying a decent amount from tv and stuff but that wouldn’t be my first thought, I wouldn’t even had realized it unless you pointed it out. [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is gorgeous

Something happens to me when people on here tell me they love a name I love. Thank you!

Yes, but I would think [name_f]Zippy[/name_f] [name_f]Ki[/name_f] Yay first.
