If you knew that you would one day possibly use the name [name_m]Israel[/name_m], would you even consider the name [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]? [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering if the Is- beginning would be a bit too much.
I would not… They both start in Is- and end with -el, in fact, they both share 5 out of 6 letters.
[name_f]Amabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Inessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Irena[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sybille[/name_f]
I wouldn’t. They are too similar.
I agree. It’s a little too much. Perhape [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Iantha[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]?
I love
[name_m]Israel[/name_m] and [name_f]Iantha[/name_f]
[name_m]Israel[/name_m] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_m]Israel[/name_m] and [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f]
Good luck!
Definitely not, and not just because of the IS but the shared -el ending. I personally still wouldn’t consider something like [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] or [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], but they don’t seem nearly as bad next to [name_m]Israel[/name_m].
Thank you so much for the feedback! I keep coming back to [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but I have other names I like equally as well!
It’s too matchy
I think [name_m]Israel[/name_m] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] are too similar. The Is- and the -el are the same. I love both names though!
They are very similar, yes! But they are both such cute names. Have you considered nicknames for them? I know a lot of Isabels go by [name_u]Bell[/name_u]. And [name_m]Israel[/name_m] could go by [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]/[name_u]Issy[/name_u]. If you’re like me, I always think of the nicknames that they could possibly get. Because let’s face it, regardless of their name, they’ll end up being called something else, especially by the people closest to them. Heck, still till this day, I always get called [name_m]Hil[/name_m], not [name_u]Hilary[/name_u]. I hope that helps a little. And good luck!
[name_m]Way[/name_m] to similar! Same IS start, same [name_f]EL[/name_f] end. Both have 6 letters, 5 of which are the same. They both have 3 syllables. They kind of rhyme too!
Thank you! We are a very nicknamey family, lol, my last three children all go by nn of some sort! I would have to think about it some though.
Thank you everyone for the feedback!
