Would you do this?

Would you name your (twin) sons [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m]?

I’ve been thinking about this set for a while now. I really love both names and I think it would be a pity to not use one of the names only because its kinda similar to his brother’s name (also: which one are we gonna use and which one not). Nicknames might be [name_m]Eamon[/name_m], [name_m]Ned[/name_m] or EJ. With different middle names and nicknaming, do you think this can work or is this a no-go no matter what?

No. The names are way too close.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] pick one. You and they would be teased!
I even think [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] sound too similar. I’m not into matchy names.

I wouldnt use the two as they are so similar but if you truely love only those two names and nickname them say eddy and ej you could probably get away with it

No. They’re the same name.

You can give them different nicknames if you want but ultimately, they could both want to go by [name_m]Ed[/name_m] or [name_m]Eddie[/name_m]. That would be confusing.

I know what you mean! I really love the (twin) boys names [name_u]Carey[/name_u] and [name_u]Corey[/name_u] and both names mean so much to me. [name_u]Carey[/name_u] is my Dad’s middle name and [name_u]Corey[/name_u] is a name I love in general and is the first name of my idol.

No. They’re essentially the same name. It would seem like you couldn’t even be bothered to find two names. Also, if you would use [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] as a nn, why not just use that as a first? [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m], for example, aren’t nearly as bad as [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m] - especially if you call [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Ned[/name_m].

I wouldn’t do it personally. What about using one of them as a first and the other as a middle for the other twin?
