If you could choose the popularity of your name would you have one that is (for this we’ll use names from early 80’s):
A) a very popular name - like [name]Jennifer[/name], [name]Jessica[/name], or [name]Nicole[/name].
B) a name that is known, but not extremely popular - like [name]Theresa[/name], [name]Brenda[/name], and [name]Dawn[/name]
C) a name that is uncommon, but still pretty well-known - like [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name], and [name]Aubrey[/name]
D) a name that is rather uncommon, and not used or known very often, but still in the top 1000 list - like [name]Raquel[/name], [name]Fatima[/name], and [name]Eugenia[/name]
E) A name that is so uncommon, it’s not on the top 1000 list.
Please put a reason behind your choice.
My choice: D) a name that is very uncommon, and not used or known very often, but still in the top 1000 list
I like my name, [name]Raquel[/name]. I liked being the only [name]Raquel[/name] in my grade school. It was MY name growing up, and I only met 3 other people in my life that had this name. But I still get a lot of mispn issues.
i would go with option c. a name that is uncommon, but still pretty well-known.
since my name is in the option a. jennifer. it would be great growing up not sharing my name with 4 other jennifers in a class.

I would choose ‘C’ because my name is [name]Sarah[/name] and I was one of seven, eight, nine [name]Sarah[/name]'s all the time!!! Now it is fresh to hear on a little girl!
I think my name -[name]Corinna[/name]- falls into the D category (a name that is rather uncommon, and not used or known very often, but still in the top 1000 list…though it’s no longer in the top 1000) and that’s the way I like it. I rarely did meet another [name]Corinna[/name] growing up and if I did chances are they were spelt different ([name]Corina[/name], [name]Corrina[/name], Korrinna, or even [name]Corinne[/name] variations). I’m hoping to give the same kind of name to my own kids - uncommon but not too strange.
