I definitely would. The only time I wouldn’t is if I had met 50+ people with the name who all go by the same nickname. That would be discouraging.
Overall, I strongly prefer popular names (or names that used to be popular in previous decades) over the rarely heard quirky names that NB seems to favor.
For example, if I was going to give birth to a set of boy/girl twins tomorrow, I’d be much more likely to name them [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] or [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] instead of something odd and quirky like [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f] and [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] or [name_u]Fable[/name_u] and [name_u]Poet[/name_u].
