Thoughts on [name_f]Wren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Wren[/name_f]? Husband is starting to come around to the name [name_f]Wren[/name_f]!
First name for sure!!! [name_f]Wren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a gorgeous name but is so over-used. [name_f]Wren[/name_f] is fresh, fun, beautiful and edgy! I love this name but my husband never came around. I also love the name [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. [name_u]Bird[/name_u] names are so pretty and cute for little girls.
Either is pretty. [name_f]Wren[/name_f] is a little more daring than sturdy, classic [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I definitely prefer [name_f]Wren[/name_f] as a middle. A child can always choose to go by a middle, but I’m one of those who prefers having a formal first name. Call me boring/old-fashioned/traditional, but formal names are useful for things like resumes, diplomas, etc.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Wren[/name_f] up front, if you can get away with it! There’s just something about it as a middle–it just doesn’t seem to flow right, or look right. [name_m]Just[/name_m] the flow of the letters. I think it is so much better up front, but I have it as a middle. I would have loved to use it up front, but I wasn’t sure I could see me with a [name_f]Wren[/name_f], and I felt like [name_f]Wren[/name_f] didn’t fit so well with my fairly mainstream, long and feminine names, like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]… I just felt that [name_f]Wren[/name_f] might fall a bit short. But I’ve started adding some shorter names to my list ([name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f]…), so maybe [name_f]Wren[/name_f] would fit in with those. I think [name_f]Wren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is fab, if your husband will go for it!
Either way is fine, I think. I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Wren[/name_f], but the other way around isn’t bad by any means. I guess I’m just a “formal name up front” kinda girl.
I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Wren[/name_f] too.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] of these combos are beautiful and you can’t go wrong either way! Personally, I love [name_f]Wren[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful name, but I feel like so many people have had the name as a first name that it isn’t as interesting or special anymore. I have a unique, nature-y first name with a much more common middle and I have always appreciated that the unique name is my first name.
