DH and I have been debating what we are going to call our 1st child as I’m expecting soon. We don’t know the sex, and will not untill the birth…but its hard compromising on names of both sex.
For girl names we’ve come down to [name]Freya[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name] “[name]Miri[/name].” Last week DH came across the name [name]Wren[/name], and he really likes it.
The name is growing on me, but I don’t know I really love the name [name]Freya[/name] and have since I was 18 years old (been a while). But he is still not 100% sure of it. So, berries…what do you think of the name?
I agree: [name]Freya[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is very sweet! I confess I like it better than its one-syllable alternative, [name]Freya[/name] [name]Jean[/name].
[name]IMO[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is soft and gentle, much like [name]Freya[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name] actually. I think that [name]Wren[/name] [name]Allana[/name] is the only one that works okay (or maybe, if you don’t mind the subtle change, [name]Wren[/name] [name]Helena[/name], but I find myself wanting to switch the order to [name]Helena[/name] [name]Wren[/name]).
I love [name]Wren[/name]. I think I prefer it over [name]Freya[/name]. [name]Wren[/name] [name]Helen[/name] is the best, but using the [name]Helena[/name] variant and having [name]Wren[/name] [name]Helena[/name] would be gorgeous. [name]Wren[/name] [name]Alana[/name] would be nice as well.
I love [name]Freya[/name] for it’s mythological history. I love [name]Wren[/name] simply because I do. With the 3 names on the middle name list, [name]Freya[/name] [name]Jean[/name] sounds nice but the other 2 don’t sound very good with [name]Freya[/name].
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is to die for! Maybe you could compromise with that? I also agree that using [name]Helena[/name] instead of [name]Helen[/name] would sound great with [name]Wren[/name]. [name]Wren[/name] [name]Helena[/name] is lovely.
But [name]Freya[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is gorgeous!
