I am loving the name [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. Mostly for it’s meaning… I love the idea of a joyful songbird. I also like the nickname Birdie!
Here’s the problem I keep running into…middle names. Whenever I find a short one-syllable first name that I love, I can’t seem to find a good middle for it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions? I worry that if I stick some lavish middle with it, it will outshine it.
So what do you think of it as a first name? Does it sound insufficient? Wondering what kind of image it conjures up…
I would use all of those names as first names and use [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a middle name. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if [name_u]Wren[/name_u] was her middle name I would still cal her [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
I love the name [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and think it’s a great choice! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combo is [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]. I think the “ra” ending of the middle names helps me avoid the temptation of wanting to say the middle name as the first name, haha.
It’s good It’s short for [name_f]Karen[/name_f]. I get a lot of compliments. People mishear me sometimes in loud places but I usually only have to repeat myself once. I will say, they all seem to spell it my way too on first attempt without being prompted. I think however, that if a ‘w’ [name_u]Wren[/name_u] just said ‘like the bird’ that could be easily avoided.
A fellow [name_m]Lemon[/name_m] lover!! Yay! Haha. I also saw you had [name_u]Pepper[/name_u], which I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f].
Some great combos from your list. Thank you Loving [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but my husband put the ex on [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]!
@sunshine.10 - great advice! The “uh” or “ah” ending makes it flow smoother.
@rainydaygarden - beautiful and elegant choice!! I do love the name [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and also [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. Although I’d probably use both as a middle.
