Wren

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!!

I am loving the name [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. Mostly for it’s meaning… I love the idea of a joyful songbird. I also like the nickname Birdie!

Here’s the problem I keep running into…middle names. Whenever I find a short one-syllable first name that I love, I can’t seem to find a good middle for it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions? I worry that if I stick some lavish middle with it, it will outshine it.

So what do you think of it as a first name? Does it sound insufficient? Wondering what kind of image it conjures up…

I’m a [name_u]Ren[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Probably no help, except for showing that two short names can work? I don’t know, lol.

Hmm. With [name_u]Wren[/name_u], I’d use something that isn’t a word-name and doesn’t have too many N sounds. Maybe…

[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Livia[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]

Very helpful! [name_m]How[/name_m] do you like having the name?

Ahh I am loving [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!! Once again I want to make it [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

I would use all of those names as first names and use [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a middle name. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if [name_u]Wren[/name_u] was her middle name I would still cal her [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

I have a dad who went by his middle name and it’s been a big pain for him. I don’t think I would ever do it!

I love the name [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and think it’s a great choice! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combo is [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]. I think the “ra” ending of the middle names helps me avoid the temptation of wanting to say the middle name as the first name, haha.

Ok our tastes are waaayyyy too similar lol! I actually just made a post and got slammed about liking [name_m]Lemon[/name_m]!

Some don’t have [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but some other names you listed:

[name_f]My[/name_f] fave combos I think you also might like:
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Lemon[/name_m]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_m]Lemon[/name_m]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]

We are using [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] myself… but probably too out there!

Ahh… [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] would be beautiful

Since you like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] I will also suggest [name_f]Lark[/name_f].

It’s good  It’s short for [name_f]Karen[/name_f]. I get a lot of compliments. People mishear me sometimes in loud places but I usually only have to repeat myself once. I will say, they all seem to spell it my way too on first attempt without being prompted. I think however, that if a ‘w’ [name_u]Wren[/name_u] just said ‘like the bird’ that could be easily avoided.

A fellow [name_m]Lemon[/name_m] lover!! Yay! Haha. I also saw you had [name_u]Pepper[/name_u], which I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f].

Some great combos from your list. Thank you  Loving [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but my husband put the ex on [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]!

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_m]Lemon[/name_m]. Really cool!

@sunshine.10 - great advice! The “uh” or “ah” ending makes it flow smoother.

@rainydaygarden - beautiful and elegant choice!! I do love the name [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and also [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. Although I’d probably use both as a middle.

[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]? I love a lot of the other suggestions too.
