I voted for Cecilia Wren. I wouldn’t use Wren as a first name if your last name is one syllable, as it would tend to look choppy, and unsubstantial. We don’t often say all three names together and most acquaintances don’t even know what the middle name is, so I think that if you love it, use it, and it would be fine in the middle spot. She would be known as Cecilia Doe which is lovely!
I love both [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Doe[/name_f] is my preference because [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Doe[/name_f] sounds much nicer than [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Doe[/name_f] (which is choppy and sounds similar to window).
I adore [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is so sweet and pretty. My top two are [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
Hmm. While I’m not nearly as particular about the ultimate flow, now shared sounds, balance syllables, etc., [name_u]Wren[/name_u] “[name_f]Doe[/name_f]” does sound a bit choppy as well as kind of runs together, so I would rather see [name_u]Wren[/name_u] in the middle. I like:
…in that order. Also, just wanted to throw out there the possibility of having [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a nickname? You might have already pondered this and while there are other options, I think it’d make a great offbeat nickname for [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f].
Thank you all for the input! I do agree with those of you who’ve said it’s a bit abrupt as a first name. I just really love it.
@aym I have not considered it as a nn, I would have to ponder that idea for a while. I have considered it as a mn but still calling her [name_u]Wren[/name_u] so that she’s not [name_u]Wren[/name_u] “[name_f]Doe[/name_f],” specifically, but can still be called by the name.
Anyway, this has been very helpful and any other ideas/feedback is welcome.
I like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and Mauria [name_u]Wren[/name_u] the best.
Mauria is really interesting. Maybe a bit dark as it sounds like a LOTR reference, but still very pretty.
Thanks! I really love the name [name_m]Maurie[/name_m]. I knew a woman with this name and it was the name of a cat I had (though I spelled it very differently) and I’ve almost regretted naming her that because I love it enough to use it on a child, so I was looking for something similar and Mauria came close.
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is my favorite (I like the look and feel of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but it sounds like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] would sound better with your surname), followed closely by [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] (which I love a lot, although again, I like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] more! I just love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] up front).
