So last night I had a dream that I had named my unborn Wulfric. I have had certain names come to my dreams before, but have never named a child of mine or had a child with a name in them. Not sure what to think of the dream… We’re so early on in the pregnancy, that we obviously don’t know if the little one is a boy or girl.
I do love Wulfric(and dh is ok with it), but it’s not one I otherwise would have thought to consider as a first name otherwise, it was on my long list of maybe middle names…
Did any of you, with kids, have name dreams while pregnant? Did you let them affect your naming process?
What do you think of Wulfric? What would you pair it with? I usually like nature, Greek, Latin, [name_m]French[/name_m] and uncommon classic names, for middle names some of the perennially popular classics too…
I had a dream about [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f] today. Or [name_f]Greer[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. I remember these two names and that I came to Nameberry to look up them both and wanted to make a combo, but haven’t decided on the order. I don’t actually like it either way, although I like both names separately.
Sorry, a little bit off-topic, because I don’t have children yet and I’m not expecting. I just thought it was fun that I had a dream about Nameberry, woke up, opened forums and there’s this topic about dreams!
I do not think the name you saw in a dream should necessarily influence your choice, but I think it would be fun. I mean, imagine how fun it would be to tell people the story of how you’ve chosen the baby name? You’ve dreamt of it! So cool.
Wulfric is fascinating and I like its meaning a lot (“wolf power” or “wolf ruler”).
I had a very similar dream around 7 weeks, so I also didn’t know the gender of my bundle of joy. I dreamed I was holding a baby girl and we had called her [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], I am set on this name if our baby is a girl. It wouldn’t be a name I would of thought about, but when I say it out loud sounds right. I’ve also been having a lot of dreams surrounded wolves, mostly of me being heavily pregnant and shadows of wolves. Its all very positive so if it is a boy I would love to have a name associated with that.
So I think if you feel right about the name, why not? I’m glad to hear someone else has been experiencing similar things
[name_f]Love[/name_f] the name Wulfric! Sounds powerful and strong. As for a middle name, maybe:
Wulfric [name_u]Blayne[/name_u]
Wulfric [name_u]Arden[/name_u]
Wulfric [name_u]Onyx[/name_u]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] I’ve helped in some way! Best of luck!!
love to teach a Wulfric! I am so sick of the same old names for twenty-five years that a Wulfric would be cool. Call him [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] or Wolfie or [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m].
I like Wulfric…also [name_m]Ulrich[/name_m] and Wolfhardt. For a mn…Wulfric [name_u]Alexios[/name_u], Wulfric [name_m]Theseus[/name_m], Wulfric [name_m]Everhardt[/name_m], Wulfric [name_m]Declan[/name_m].
[name_f]Polina[/name_f], that is so neat you just dreamt of names and nameberry and then saw my post!
I too think it’d make a great story of the name!
Tigerjag, thank you for your opinion!
josiewednesday, I am happy to hear I am not the only one! [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so sweet!
The more I think about it, the more I feel like Wulfric could be the right name for our bub if it’s a boy. And it’ll definitely be a name that will be on our list until after the baby is born and we can see if we feel like he is a Wulfric.
Thank you sorceress, glad you like it! Wulfric [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and Wulfric [name_m]Lucius[/name_m] are great!
lesliemarion, thank you!
Thank you rkrd! I like [name_u]Alexios[/name_u], [name_m]Theseus[/name_m] and [name_m]Everhardt[/name_m], though idk if they’re best with Wulfric, but I’ll have to have more think on different mn options.
So far I’ve thought of
Wulfric [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
Wulfric [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
Wulfric [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
Wulfric [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]
Wulfric [name_u]Orion[/name_u]
Wulfric [name_u]Elias[/name_u]
Wulfric [name_m]Simeon[/name_m]
Wulfric [name_m]George[/name_m]
but so far nothing clicks perfectly…
