I can’t get my husband on board with [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] so as much as I love it, I’m afraid I have to let it go:(
He really likes [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], which I love too, but I fear it’s going to be just as common as [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] in another year or two (even though I don’t know any personally). I was really trying to avoid that this time.
Husband is okay with [name_u]Everett[/name_u] but I am just curious which name you think suits our first son [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] better?
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] or [name_u]Everett[/name_u]?
Out last name ends in “er” (sounds like brenner) so it’s a challenge to find a FN that flows well. I’ve found that names ending in T, O, A, or N seem to work well. Is there anything else out there quite like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]?
I like both names so it depends on what vibe makes you feel more comfortable. I find [name_u]Everett[/name_u] much more distinguished than [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]. [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] has a rough and tumble [name_m]Wild[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u] image to it whereas [name_u]Everett[/name_u] seems more like a refined gentleman. I think both go well with the versatile [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] but I prefer [name_u]Everett[/name_u] myself.
The only name I can think of that is similar to [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is [name_u]Wylie[/name_u].
I like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], but I much prefer [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. It’s so handsome, and I think it’s lovely with [name_m]Lucas[/name_m].
If you’re not sure about [name_u]Everett[/name_u], maybe you’d like [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] or [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]? But honestly, I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is a fantastic choice.
I think both are nice names, but I would go with [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. Something about the name just has a nice sound to me that makes me think of an author. I think [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] look great together.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. Which is why I chose it for my son I think it’s a great name. It means brave as a wild boar which is kind of awesome. And I love all its nickname possibilities. We call our son [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_u]Ever[/name_u] a lot but there is also the nickname Rett. Which we may use some day. I think both [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and many of its nicknames would sound great with your other sons name.
I really like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] together but I don’t think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] goes well with your last name and I prefer the suggestion of [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] instead. I’m not a fan of [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] as it’s a name that I don’t think would be wearable over here and I don’t particularly like the way it sounds.
I’m personally not a fan of [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] much more - it feels more friendly and wearable. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names go well with [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], though, so you can’t really go wrong.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is currently much more popular than [name_u]Everett[/name_u], but it’s been fairly level since the mid-nineties, while [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is spiking. Judging by the amount of love from berries it’s getting, it’s only going to get more popular. So I wouldn’t avoid [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] based purely on the popularity.
Thank you for the wonderfully insightful comments! I think all you “berries” are spot on with these names and I guess it does come down to which vibe we are striving for. Typically I prefer the rough and tumble vibe but I’m concerned with how popular [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is in middle [name_u]America[/name_u] right now (#8 in OK). We currently live in DC but are actually from [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] and plan to move back at some point so even though it might not be so common here, it could be very popular in the Midwest. The [name_u]Baby[/name_u] name [name_m]Wizard[/name_m] predicted it would be top 10 in a few years so I guess I’ve got to just make sure I’m comfortable with that if we choose [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is such a handsome name but it definitely feels more formal and the user mel_finch was right in that it is also spiking in popularity. Decisions, Decisions!
