Its a bit different, I kind of like it. Thoughts? And yes, it is a real name.
I really like [name]Winifred[/name], and [name]Win[/name]- nickname names like [name]Winter[/name] and most of the -wen family, Rhoswen, [name]Anwen[/name], [name]Branwen[/name] etc. but I find Wynstelle/Wynstella rather too reminscent of [name]Stella[/name], which I don’t like, and even clunkier than [name]Winifred[/name].
Normally I don’t mind some clunk, even [name]Twyla[/name] is sorta interesting to me, but I guess this is a bridge too far.
On the other hand, a lot of people love [name]Stella[/name] as much as I don’t, and I could see it appealing to them.
Hm…I like the LOOK of Wynstelle, but I think Wynstella sounds nicer. I like it! What does it mean?
Apparently it means ‘fair star.’
I think clunky is a very apt description of Wynstelle and Wynstella. I very much prefer [name]Estelle[/name] or [name]Estella[/name] - which sound much more elegant to me.
I’m not really big on the [name]Stella[/name] related names but this is reminds me of [name]Wisteria[/name] which I like (despite the [name]Wisteria[/name] [name]Lane[/name] associations) so I can see it’s appeal. I agree with pp that Wynstella sounds better than Wynstelle
I agree that the name is just clunky to say and I don’t like that y in there, would prefer Winstelle or Winstella. Overall I just don’t like it, and prefer [name]Estelle[/name], [name]Stella[/name], or [name]Winifred[/name]. To me Wynstelle is just [name]Winnie[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] combined, so it does have that made up vibe, even if it isn’t.
