X marks the (middle) spot!

I’m still stuck on “[name_m]Dax[/name_m]” as the name for our second son, but my sweet husband will only agree if it’s a nn. I’m looking for a middle “X” name to make this happen. [name_m]Xander[/name_m] isn’t a favorite and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] works, but I’m not fond of that either.

[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Xander[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] … help!!

Please help me get to “[name_m]Dax[/name_m]” so I can convince him that it’s the one!

What about a middle name that ends in x? That way you’d be taking the first part of the first name and the last part of the middle name to make “[name_m]Dax[/name_m].”

[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Essex[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Jax[/name_m]/[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Pax[/name_u]/[name_u]Paxton[/name_u]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Max[/name_u]/[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]

With something Like [name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] or [name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_u]Max[/name_u]/[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], you easily get the “[name_m]Dax[/name_m]” sound so I think those could be good options.

Warning - some of these might not be real names, just listing what pops into my head!

[name_m]Daxter[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_m]Daxton[/name_m]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]
[name_m]Ajax[/name_m]
[name_m]Halifax[/name_m]
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Axton[/name_m]

[name_m]Axel[/name_m] or [name_m]Ajax[/name_m] would be my choice I think!

Thanks for the suggestions so far! I failed to mention that our last name is 2 syllables and I’m trying to prevent all of the names being 2 syllables for flow purposes! Definitely going to run ALL of these by hubby to try to get him on my side!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Would he use [name_m]Dax[/name_m] alone as the middle name? It’s a real name, [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Shephard[/name_m] is an example! I can’t really think of any one or three X names other than [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] or [name_m]Halifax[/name_m]…

[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] is a possibility, but it kind of runs together with [name_m]Davis[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. [name_m]Dax[/name_m] could be a stretch nickname for [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] or [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].

[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]

@ziggy, I wish he would just accept it as a complete name because to me it is one! [name_m]William[/name_m] is a family name, so I was hoping [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] would work because our first son is J@mes [name_m]Collier[/name_m] and I think they flow nicely!

@sarah1800 I don’t love [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] unfortunately, but hadn’t thought of [name_m]Maddox[/name_m]! Maybe I’ll see if hubby will go for that!
