Xander?

As a full name, not a nickname. Thoughts?

It could work. He might have to explain that it’s just [name_m]Xander[/name_m] a couple time’s though.

I’ve always liked [name_m]Xander[/name_m]! And prbly would have used it except for the fact that my nephew named his cat [name_m]Xander[/name_m] lol

I like it! I don’t think it would have issues. I know a little [name_m]Xander[/name_m]

I think it totally works as a full name! Personally, I would actually assume [name_m]Xander[/name_m] was the full name, if that’s how somebody introduced themselves.

I know a [name_m]Xander[/name_m] and think it works perfectly well as a full name. I wouldn’t assume [name_m]Xander[/name_m] was a nickname upon meeting someone with the name!

Xander seems like a name a boy would love to have. Feels modern and cool but still grounded.

It is certainly becoming popular enough as a standalone name these days. [name_f]My[/name_f] own opinion, though, is that it’s always nice to have a full and formal name for when the child gets older. You can call him [name_m]Xander[/name_m] yourself as long as he likes, but he has the option. An [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] may prefer to be an [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] once he gets older and enters the workforce which can be a more formal setting.

Like it! Definitely can stand on its own.

What could [name_m]Xander[/name_m] even be short for? [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]?

I like it and prefer it to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].

Yes, it works as a standalone. [name_m]Xander[/name_m] is actually one of the few nicknames that doesn’t sound like a nickname to me and can work as a ā€œformal adultā€ name. It’s also one of my relatives name too

I personally like almost all ā€˜ander’ names and nicknames: [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Alexei[/name_m], [name_m]Zander[/name_m], [name_m]Ander[/name_m], [name_m]Ender[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], Enduriel, [name_m]Ollivander[/name_m], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], etc so I love [name_m]Xander[/name_m] too!

It’s strong and bold. I think it can stand alone
