[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] has been growing on me a lot lately - I love the spunky X and how unusual she is; I also love that she could honor my two blond-headed sisters. I’m leaning more toward using her as a middle, but I’m not married to the idea. If you had to combo up [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], what would you use? A few ideas I’ve had so far:
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] (probably my favorite of all but I can’t use it - I’m way too in love with my current combo of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Dagny[/name_f] Louise)
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] (not sure I would use just [name_f]Ella[/name_f] anymore, though)
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] (same, love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] but I generally see it as a middle)
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] (again, probably wouldn’t use it since I’m in love with [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] Sunday)
I actually really love the idea of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] as a double middle if that’s something you’re open to! I’m not sure what first names you’re looking for combos for, but for inspiration I’m thinking …
I like the idea of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] if I was allowed to use [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] as a first - or ‘-Xanthe Lydia’ with a different first name - [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]? I do like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] really appeals to me she’s so angelic and whimsical. I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is zippy and fun! [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] feels like a princess warrior. These three are magical
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

@ellerbea - I’m not opposed to Lydia Xanthe as middles but I feel like the balance of the combo just feels a little off; the X feels a bit heavy and I’d rather end the combo on a lighter note? I do love the idea of Kit Lydia though, something like Kit Lydia Eloise or Kit Lydia Evangeline? That is very me!
@kachenka - intrigued by Anya Xanthe - I’ve been thinking about Anya a lot lately, but I’m not sure how I feel about her with Xanthe? I’ll have to give her some thought. I prefer Magdalen to Magdalena; will have to give Magdalen Xanthe some thought; I’m intrigued by her. Magdalen feels a little heavier than I was envisioning with Xanthe, though!
@tori101 - against my better judgment, I rather like Susanna Xanthe! it’s a lot of “Ann” sound but it is pretty. I’m not the hugest Christabel fan, but I am tempted by Christiana Xanthe; I’m a big Christiana fan! I currently have her as a middle for Adele but have always loved the idea of Christiana nn Christa, Tiana, or Annie.
@Posielee - thanks girl. I LOVE Fenna and I love that you recommended her, but I do prefer her as a middle… and somehow Fenna & Xanthe feel like too much together. I do rather like Claire Xanthe together too, may have to consider that (when I first got the email notification, the lines all smooshed together, and I thought you’d recommended Claire Xanthe… a happy accident lol). I currently have Claire Vienna Elise on my list but like Claire Xanthe a lot.
I LOVE [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]! She’s bright, beautiful, interesting, & creative.
I also adore Xanthea, which is slightly more versatile because you could shorten it to [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] If you used it as a 1st Xanthea would flow a little better with [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but both are lovely!
I think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] really works! I love [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], not least because it means golden yellow which is my favourite colour. Other ideas

Xanthea doesn’t really do anything for me, I have no qualms using [name_f]Annie[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] for just Xanthe; [name_f]Annie[/name_f] would be my nn preference anyway. I am intrigued by [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], though!

[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], maybe I just need a long -ine name with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]?
