Hello!
I love the girl’s name [name]Clara[/name] but I have a son called [name]Xavier[/name]… [name]Xavier[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] don’t seem to flow as a sibset… what do you think?
The only other girl’s name I have considered is [name]Milla[/name] but we have an unusual surname and I don’t want her to always have to correct and spell both her first and last name.
I see what you’re saying about [name]Xavier[/name] seeming a little bit more edgy and [name]Clara[/name] seeming to have a more traditional feel, but I think that sibsets aren’t everything. If you love the name then go for it. I think [name]Milla[/name] sounds great with [name]Xavier[/name], but I totally understand about being nervous about spelling issues. I have an unusually spelled name and an uncommon last name and it drives me bonkers having to spell out both. If your first love is [name]Clara[/name] I’d go for it. You might could give her a more edgy middle name to balance things out if you feel like it needs it.
I love [name]Clara[/name]! I think they are fine together.
I don’t think [name]Xavier[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] match really well. [name]Xavier[/name] feels modern and edgy whilst [name]Clara[/name] is classic and seems a little less exciting. That being said, they don’t not work together. I think [name]Milla[/name] works better with [name]Xavier[/name], but how is it pronounced? [name]Miller[/name], Mee-ya, Mee-luh? There may be spelling/pronunciation issues.
I think they are fine together. I wouldn’t worry too much about sibsets. However [name]Mila[/name] (I like it better spelled like this) and [name]Xavier[/name] sound nice as well.
[name]Sib[/name] sets are not the end all and be all. And both are great names.
My own name is a very different style than the rest of my siblings, and while once in a blue moon someone will notice and ask about it, it doesn’t have any effect on my everyday life. [name]Clara[/name] isn’t going to be introducing herself as “[name]Clara[/name], [name]Xavier[/name]'s sister” her whole life.
If you love [name]Clara[/name], go for it.
[name]Xavier[/name] is a formal, old, saintly name, just like [name]Clara[/name]. [name]Just[/name] because [name]Xavier[/name] has been somewhat revived by the trendy crowd due to its elusive letter X doesn’t detract from its cultural history and roots. If you want something zippier than [name]Clara[/name], you could always try the elegant [name]Claire[/name], but they match fine as is.
Those are two of my favorite names and I think they are fine together! They are a little different, but your kids will be different anyway.
I think they sound great together.
I agree completely! I actually love [name]Xavier[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] as siblings.
Thanks everyone, you have given me the reassurance that I needed!
I think it’s totally okay. [name]Xavier[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] are great together.
