So excited. [name]Baby[/name] #3 is baking and if all goes well will be here by the end of [name]September[/name]! I know it’s early, but I just can’t WAIT to start thinking about names for my little sugar. We have 2 boys, [name]Mason[/name] [name]Cole[/name] (almost 5) and [name]Tanner[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (almost 3). I don’t necessarily care if the name “fits” with my boys’ names. I just want a name we love. But I think knowing what my kids names are will help get a feel for my “style.” I’ve been thinking mostly about boy names. I guess I’m assuming there’s another boy baking away, lol. Right now I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Devon[/name] [name]Drew[/name]. My husband and I have very very different styles of naming. He likes names that I think are somewhat strange. He told me he likes [name]Rand[/name], what?! He also suggested [name]Maddox[/name] and [name]Paxton[/name]. I could see [name]Maddox[/name], but [name]Paxton[/name] is just a no for me. I haven’t really told him how much I’m loving the name [name]Devon[/name] [name]Drew[/name], yet. [name]Don[/name]'t want him to burst my bubble, lol. Other names I love that he said ‘no’ to are: [name]Asher[/name], [name]Talon[/name], [name]Ashton[/name], [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Crew[/name]. I also suggested [name]Nolan[/name] and he said he’d think about it. Any other ideas for us?
Girl names are easier for us to agree upon. We like the idea of a name that sounds “princessey.” Yes, I know that’s NOT a word. Right now we’re really crushing on [name]Olivia[/name]. Another name we’ve had in mind for a long time is [name]Avia[/name] (Ay-vee-ah). I’m open to any suggestions!! Thanks in advance for helping us out.
Thank you! I’ve been told by lots of people that we should do another occupational name. The thing is, I don’t really like any other occupational names. We didn’t do that “theme” on purpose, it was purely accidental.
I honestly think [name]Devon[/name] is a lovely name. Not sure about having [name]Drew[/name] follow [name]Devon[/name], though. But that’s just a preference.
And have you considered putting an “i” instead of an “o” in [name]Devon[/name]? Like [name]Devin[/name]? [name]Just[/name] putting it out there.
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I actually mentioned [name]Devon[/name] to my husband and he prefers it spelled [name]Devin[/name]. I guess I didn’t even realize there were two different spellings. I don’t care one way or the other. I think I put an O on the end because of [name]Mason[/name]'s name. [name]Just[/name] a force of habit I guess. [name]Devin[/name] is definitely my favorite name for little one right now. I usually don’t like the double first initial thing either, but for some reason, [name]Devin[/name] [name]Drew[/name] P______s just sounds perfect to me. I can totally see myself saying Mas, T and [name]Dev[/name]! What middle names do you like better with [name]Devin[/name]?
Anyone care to throw out some girl suggestions? I mentioned [name]Tessa[/name] to the hubs… he said no. I also suggested [name]Ella[/name]. He didn’t say no but didn’t seem too impressed.
