Yay or Nay to

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]. I’m trying to find a [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] combo I like, because I’ve fallen out of love with all my other combos. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite was [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] ([name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] being a family name) but I mentioned it to my friend and all she said was, “[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], like [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f] of [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]?” So now I’ve doubted it. And I think it has too many L sounds. I think I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]. [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] is a GP of mine, so I’ve never tried it as a middle. WDYT of [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]? If nay, what would be a better middle for [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]?
I already have on my list:
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isidora[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
But I feel like all of them don’t flow right, or are too normal for [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. The one I like the best of those (besides [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]) is [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but I feel like the styles are polar opposites, [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is really common near me, while [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is no existent. I don’t even like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] very much, I just like the flow of it with [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. Help!
WDYT?

Oh, Definitely yay! [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] is so beautiful!! And I also like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] Alexadra. I don’t get your friends connection. [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is also fabulous & I totally agree with you about [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

Definitely yay! [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] is gorgeous! And I understand about [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but I do like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and I didn’t make the [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]/ [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] connection until you mentioned it. I think [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] Magdelena is lovely as well, and it flows well; plus I think I like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] more than [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t you just love friends like that? I have one, and he’s skewed my perspective on a couple names. I think they’re good to have though – even if you wind up ignoring them. While I didn’t make the immediate connection with the combo [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] I do wonder now if that’s why it sounds so good / natural to my ears.

What about:

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] – instead of [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]

[name_f]Clio[/name_f] is the spelling I prefer, as it seems less common, and therefore likely to have less “cleopatra comments.” Either way though, I love the name [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]. Nice combo.

I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] a lot. I also like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] very much for flow, but i get what you mean about the different styles. Like it should be [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. For some reason with [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (which I’ve toyed around with) the contrast isn’t as obvious to me? Maybe you’d like that.

I love the name [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f], but I don’t [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it. [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] somehow sounds flat compared to the crispness of [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. I liked PP’s suggestion of [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] and I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] from your list. I would also suggest:
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Athena[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] (this might be my favorite)
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_u]Germaine[/name_u]

Oh, wow. I clicked on this expecting to be mildly interested at best, but Cleo Thisbe is FANTASTIC. I just love both of those so much, and the combo has so much zest and energy. I absolutely adore it.

Not that your other middles aren’t nice. Personally, one thing I really like about Cleo is how you can easily pair it with a crazy/long/frilly middle. From your choices I really like Cleo Ariadne, Cleo Isadora, and Cleo Sylvia.

Suggestions:

Cleo Aurelia
Cleo Andromeda
Cleo Mazarine
Cleo Rosaline
Cleo Lavinia

Most definitely yay!

I love [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]! Something about [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] seems just on the edge of being really harsh, and [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] softens it.

Yay, [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] is great - but I think I prefer [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] or [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. They just have a more ancient and substantial feel that [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] does - whilst [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] is wonderful it feels a bit too try-hard hip with [name_f]Cleo[/name_f].
