Yay or nay...?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re having a second boy!
Iv been set on the name [name_m]Ford[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] (that’s first name, middlename) for a while but just want to see what the general opinion was. I obviously see the car reference but am wondering if people would get past that and see it as a handsome name as I do?
Help please!!

I actually like it. As long as the car connection doesn’t bother you, go for it.

It sounds dashing to me. I do think of the car but honestly, to me that’s not a bad association. Nothing that’d turn me off the name. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a classic and grounds the combo well as a middle name. Congrats on the upcoming son!

My first association is not the car, but [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m], which I like pretty much so no problem.
[name_m]Ford[/name_m] [name_f]Alexande[/name_f] is a very handsome name.

[name_m]Ford[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is very handsome! I think [name_m]Ford[/name_m] is well-known enough as a name for the car association not to be a big deal.

[name_m]Ford[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a very handsome combo. I think it is a great choice.

I actually think of a ford, a shallow place with good footing where a river or stream may be crossed by wading, or inside a vehicle getting its wheels wet. I can remember crossing a couple, in a car, when I was a kid. I was so fascinated by them. It was exciting but a bit scary at the same time. My second thought is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m], not a negative to me. Then I think of the car company, which is not a negative for me either, my grandpa liked Fords.

Here is a link of the rankings of [name_m]Ford[/name_m] since 1880. I so wish it would go back to 1800. [name_m]Ford[/name_m] was rather popular in the 19th century and early 20th. The percent of births to the rankings were much different then. Lots more babies being born today, so even the top rankings today are not close to the top rankings then.

I like it!

[name_m]Ford[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a fantastic name! (And, btw, the first thing I think of when hearing “[name_m]Ford[/name_m]” is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m], not the car, so I don’t think that’s anything to worry about.)

I have met a man named [name_m]Ford[/name_m] and [name_f]IMO[/name_f], it’s a handsome name.

Sounds fine to me. I really like the flow of the two names together.

I like it a lot! Sounds very dashing!

I like it a lot. I live in downtown [name_m]Detroit[/name_m] so the [name_m]Ford[/name_m] association is heavy for me but I still really like it.

Thanks everyone for you input. It’s all very positive and has just confirmed this name to me
